Why Don't You...?

…pull the covers over your head and go back to bed? Your bed is your sanctuary; therefore, today you are not to leave it!

…throw a tea party that would make the Mad Hatter envious? Style yourself in a candy-colored frock, order a box of Sprinkles Cupcakes in a variety of flavors, steep the tea (I’m partial to vanilla myself), and let the fun begin. Perhaps Alice or the White Rabbit will even pop in for an impromptu visit and a cupcake or two!

…flirt like it’s going out of style? It’s a known fact that flirting boosts self-esteem; so slick a bit of mark’s Gloss Gorgeous in Lolli upon your lips, blow yourself a kiss in the bathroom mirror, and get your flirt on!

…play the role of Dr. Seuss and host Opposite Day? Up means down; left means right; save…means splurge – go out and buy that Twenty8Twelve Charisse Romper you’ve been eyeing, darlings!

…tear up today’s to-do list and be spontaneous? As Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “Our spontaneous action is always the best. You cannot, with your best deliberation and heed, come so close to any question as your spontaneous glance shall bring you.”

Fashionably yours!

  5. Hm, of all the suggestions, I like the toss the to-do list and do something spontaneous. There's nothing better than an unplanned day, with maybe an excursion to a new town, new coffee shop, new sights to inspire us. And this comes from a serious to-do list follower, too. I can appreciate the freedom of a day without one!

  6. What a fun and whimsical photo Erika! Oooo and I love the 1st idea "pull the covers over your head and go back to bed? Your bed is your sanctuary; therefore, today you are not to leave it." My bed IS my sanctuary, love it! :) I adore the tea party idea too...you sure do make me itch for some girly fun! Happy Wednesday my Love! ♥

  7. Your post made my day b/c when I went to the Sprinkles website I discovered there is a location opening up in my town!! Yay! I haven't smiled this much in a LONG time. Hehehe. ;)

I also really like those lip glosses and want to get one. Hmm...

  8. Aww, this post makes me sad because I have a huge paper to write today which meant I got up early, can't be spontaneous, and definitely can't throw a tea party. But be flirty and get a romper? Hmm, I might be able to do that haha. Still love this list, hopefully I can do it someday soon :D

  10. Now I know exactly what I'll do: I'll stay in bed and practise my flirting, then I'll put on my Twenty8Twelve Charisse Romper and throw a Mad Hatter tea party (flirting like crazy, naturally). Erika, what would I do without you and your ideas?!?!?

  14. . . . and being spontaneous is exactly what my friend did today , she booked her flight to Greece - Atehns with us for the Easter Break and let me be honest , she is one tough cookie to convince to come out of her shell (: !

  39. point to ponder:
for some of us, doing "the opposite" could mean NOT being spontaneous and thinking first.

  83. Oooh these are great suggestions...just reading them alone makes me feel livelier! However, tearing the to-do list might not be possible, although stowing it away somewhere and procrastinating is what I keep doing :P :P :)
