Sunday Steals: Elizabeth and James Criss-Cross Tank for Less

My loves, to the left you will find yourselves taking a gander at Elizabeth and James’ chichi Criss-Cross Tank (LIKE); to the right feast your eyes on BB Dakota’s daring Weston Tank (TRY).

(WHY?) While the BB Dakota beauty is slightly less seductively revealing than its high-end neighbor; for just $50.00, as opposed to the $195.00 pricetag of the jazzy Elizabeth and James gem, it is every bit as essential for one’s summer wardrobe – and at a price no fashionista can resist!

Is today the day for you to please the big spender within; or will you play it cool and be thrifty?

Fashionably yours!

  2. Not my fave. The straps look almost like bandages. Why wouldn't they be in the same fabric as the tank? I guess high fashion has a mind of its own sometimes ...

  3. I love BB Dakota! For a tank, I think it will have to do. x

  4. I'm always on the thrifty..I'm afraid.

Definitely both interesting. I do like the way BB Dakota fits.

  5. I love the BB dakota version! it's exactly like the elizabeth and james tank, but more than half the price :)

  6. Gotta say, I think I like the BB Dakota one better! Even if it is a copycat. The E&J one is pretty, but the BB Dakota makes the back look less like a bra. ;)

  7. Another amazing find, darling!

Love the back detail on these!

  8. Mmmm, I'm not much of a fan of either, if I'm honest! So I think I'll save my pennies altogether and wait for your next thrifty find. :)

  9. Hm... so i may be late in the game... but i've been noticing alot of "nude" appendages added to rather standard dresses/tops, etc. Must be the new trend? I think Adriana Lima had on a black dress with a nude panel in the back... should be interesting to see what else pops up :)

  12. I do like the open back on the Elizabeth & James one, but due to the price I'm going to have to say that BB Dakota wins this time. Someday I am going to absolutely BUY OUT that E&J line, I swear.

  15. Man I wish that I could see the front of this top! I think I would go for BB dakota, because I think it looks a little neater with the back being a little higher. Great top for summer though, very cute Erika!

  16. Oh I prefer the BB Dakota version!

  17. I like the BB one better. The E&J one looks like a tube top w/ a crazy criss cross bra!

  18. i prefer the BB Dakota version! the e+j is too scooped out in the back for me

  19. Hmm, I'm definitely feeling the BB Dakota version, I don't like showing that much back unless it's a dress or a bathing suit! But even $50 is not too thrifty for my wallet I'm afraid ... ah wells! Hope you had a good weekend darling :)

  20. I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I love the Elizabeth and James one... I'll just admire it from a distance, because there is no way my pocketbook will let me make such a purchase. :) Hope you're having a fab holiday weekend Erika!

    xx Love & Aloha

  21. Ooh I think I'd have to go big spender hear. I just love the way the E&J top has that cutout right below the back design

  22. Actually, I think I'll stick with those good old tanks from Old Navy. I like the colors and sometimes, I wear a small and a med. together. Other times, I just like and extra large to live in at home...sleep in, usually.

    Definitely interesting straps.

  23. Why oh why does the E&J top have to be 195 dollars??? I LOVE IT, I'm such a sucker for anything that shows off the back. Good try tho BB Dakota...

  24. I adore E&J but I actually prefer the BB Dakota one more in this case! Good for me :)

  25. Oh, they are both lovely. But I'd vote for the EnJ version. Definitely sexier.

  26. what a great find! i love how the straps are elastic and nude. what a great design concept :)

  27. Is it crazy that I don't wear tanks unless I have a cardi or wrap over it? I know, crazy. But I own so many tanks and camis it's overflowing my drawers and closets (yes, multiples here.) So I'd probably get the cheaper one because I would just showcase the front.

  28. that crossed back is great!

  29. Wow, honestly I love the BB Dakota shirt more! And it's so much cheaper. Haha. Love the Elizabeth and James one too but it's too expensive.

    ReplyDelete
  30. i have to admit, the BB Dakota one looks better quality lol hahahah

    ReplyDelete
  31. The BB Dakota one is so much cuter and looks like it fits better as well.

    ReplyDelete
  32. I choose Elizabeth and James.I like the back...

    ReplyDelete
  33. I like the E&J one better, with the scoop in the back :)

  34. Elizabeth and James wins in my book. Love the draped back on the tank. Was thinking when I first saw it that it was VPL! (-:

  35. Actually, I like BB Dakota's version more because, personally, low back tops tend to make me feel slightly uncomfortable; I always feel as if I've forgotten to put my shirt on :/ But that's just me :)
    Great picks!

  36. Funny, I never considered a criss-cross tank top, but since you found these 2 beautiful ones I can honestly say the BB Dakota is fine with me!

    ReplyDelete
  37. I'd be totally fine with the pocket-friendly version in this case. It's such a trendy piece that the investment isn't worthwhile.

    ReplyDelete
  38. I really like the BB Dakota version for everyday. The nude straps are really cool!

    ReplyDelete
  39. I would def go for the less expensive version. You know how it is, I'd ruin that white in a moment's time flat.

    How have you been, girlie???

    ReplyDelete
  40. aaa- i love these. but most the e&j one.

    xx

  42. elizabeth and james for the win. what this post neglects to show is the side view of the EJ version... too hot for words! can't find this anywhere in my size. If anyone has a medium, please please email me! any color will do. mirandawessley@gmail.com
