Sunday Steals: MICHAEL Michael Kors' 'Juniper' Espadrille Sandal for Less

Dolls, on the left we have MICHAEL Michael Kors’ versatile ‘Juniper’ Espadrille Sandal (LIKE); to the right we have MRKT Clove’s saucy Wedge Sandal (TRY).

(WHY?) Though the ambrosial MRKT Clove offering is paler in hue and sports a four-inch braided rope wedge as opposed to a four-and-a-half inch wedge; at a mere $69.95, in comparison to the $139.95 asking price of the Kors’ temptresses, they are just as magical as their haute couture counterparts – and a blissful way to take the wearer from the boardroom to the boardwalk with effortless ease!

Are you having a tightwad moment darlings, or are you plagued with a craving to splurge?

Fashionably yours!

  1. Since they can be a "one season" purchase, either because of changing styles or just getting worn out, I'll go for the lesser expensive.

  3. I remember espadrilles from my childhood days in the 70's. Thankfully they're much better now. Mine were boring beige, a much lower heel and string that wrapped up your calf. Thankfully when designers update fashion of yesterday, they generally do it much better than the original.
Hope you have a great day Erika! I've missed your posts but I'm back to regular blogging now.

  7. Wow, good match! I think I'd got for the MRKT Clove, because I doubt I'd wear either one very much. I'm a flip flops girl in the summer.

  8. Both of these espadrilles look great! But because I love everything Michael Kors, I just can't resist them. So, I think I'll splurge! :)

  9. What a difference in price! I'm going to have a tightwad rest of the month as I've spent too much already and there's still 3 weeks til payday! xx

  11. Oh I like the tightwad one!! The colors are way more summery.

  12. I love it when I prefer the thrifty version - and so does my bank account :) But both are beautiful my dear!

  13. I think I am craving the urge to splurge, mainly because I do prefer the the darker hue. That said, I would never spend quite that much on a pair of wedges, so the MRKT clove it would have to be.

  14. You are the best at tracking down comparable looks!!! Seriously, those two could be by the same designer!! I would save and get the less expensive pair for this. I think I lean towards spending the higher amount on year round items, and going for the savings on the single season clothing.

By the way, I went into a Limited to find that printed skirt, but they didn't have it; so sad!

  15. Again, I like both a lot, but I would go for the coves. I hope that you had a great weekend Erica :)

  17. These wedges are so perfect for summer. I can imagine wearing them to a picnic with a very cute guy. I definitely prefer the Micheal Kors one.

  18. love the shoes! I probably would get the cheaper ones though

  19. Oh my goodness I love MRKT. My nude wedges are so so so comfy and for only $60 they are one of the best pairs of shoes I have ever had. Woohoo!

  20. I love both of these options! And i am plagued by the urge to splurge every single day lol

  22. So pretty. They'd perk up any wardrobe. Especially, for summer.

  23. I don't think I'd ever buy either, but I do prefer the Michael Kors.

  24. I feel like your ability to find items that are nearly identical to one another, but at a cheap cost, is AWARD worthy.

It seriously puts me in awe.

I'm terrible with wedges - but these are really adorable!

Thanks so much for stopping by! You're the nicest!

  26. Hmm... so close! I think I would scrimp because they're so similar but something about the expensive ones calls out to me

  27. I'm digging the Kors one more ;)

  28. either pair would make me fall in love. :)

  31. Great alternative as usual, darling Erika!

    ReplyDelete
  32. They are both very beautiful. I guess whatever mood, and however much money you have, would determine the purchase.

    ReplyDelete
  33. I think the MRTK are a fabulous find; on the other hand the price for the Michael Kors' isn't thaaaat bad either. Difficult. I love them both!

    ReplyDelete
  34. You won't believe this, but I have a woven belt that is the exact color scheme as the MRKT version, just wider!
So now I guess the question is if I feel like being all matchy-matchy... of course, I guess I don't have to wear the belt and shoes together...
Thanks for uncovering this for me Erika :)

  35. Both are gorgeous! But I prefer the color on the Michael Kors wedges! I think it's time to dust off my wedges, but not without getting a pedicure (which I'm in desperate need of!).

    ReplyDelete
  36. I really like the multi-colored style of the second one!

    ReplyDelete
  37. OK, both are fab, but I think I'd splurge and go for the M. Kors one because I do prefer the straps to be a wee slimmer, and like the dark brown tones better.

Have I told you how much I love these posts because I'm amazed you always find a great inexpensive alternative?! Well, I do!

Hope you have a great Monday!

  40. I actually JUST bought the Michael Kors pair (in gold) and wore them on Saturday, so I guess I splurged on this one. They're so comfortable and I feel super tall in them. Hope you had a great weekend, Erika!

  41. I've been wanting those MKs in gold soooooooo bad!

    ReplyDelete
  42. I love these wedges! This time I would go for the originals, I think they are much more stylish!

    ReplyDelete
  43. They are both great! Love the discounted one! xoxo

    ReplyDelete
  44. Once again, another fantastic find. I think I actually like the lighter colors better.. they're perfect for summertime :)

    ReplyDelete
  45. I would go with the cheaper version because this is a seasonal shoe! Year-round items like boots, I usually make the more expensive purchase because I know that the wear and tear factor will be much greater. However, summer shoes I usually go cheap! However I do love to splurge on a great pair of heels every once in a while, and perhaps someday a bit more. :) These are both beautiful sandals, how do you do it my love? You never cease to amaze me with your ability to find AMAZING items!!!

    xoxo

  46. Deffo go cheap. I love the inclusion of the light-colored woven material :)

    ReplyDelete
  47. I like the tightwad version MORE!!

    ReplyDelete
  48. I shouldn't but I can't help it! I find MK shoes very comfortable...I'll pay a little more for them!
