Tightwad Tuesday: Alice + Olivia Raw-Edge Tube Dress for Less

Kitty cats, to the left we have Alice + Olivia’s ravishing Raw-Edge Tube Dress (LIKE); to the right we have Iska’s Ruffle Bandeau Dress (TRY).

(WHY?) While the Iska pretty is only available in a Nude hue, as opposed to the sultry blackberry color of the A + O lovely; for a mere $47.35, in place of the $396.00 required to make the Raw-Edge Tube Dress your own, it is every bit as stunning as its haute couture cousin – and the perfect shade for summer loving and fun!

Is today the day for you to please the big spender within; or will you play it cool and be thrifty?

Fashionably yours!

  2. Definitely playing it cool and being thrifty, with enough $$ left over to buy a little bolero style jacket, or some sort of top to wear over this too.

  6. I surprisingly love the less expensive Iska dress! I am really into nudes right now and it fits the bill. Of course it definitely requires a try on to assess how flattering it would be in the hips. Cute choices!

  45. Without a doubt tightwad today and not just because of price!! I love that pastel pink and it looks much better than its expensive counterpart. Plus $400 is so expensive it's almost arrogant... for that?!?! :) Good picks, as always...

  46. i gotta say, i'm loving your daily features, from your music mondays to this. you have such a great eye for finding designer looks for less. that dress is so pretty, but as much as i love the deeper colour of the alice+olivia one, i like the sweetheart neckline on the iska one. wow and you save a ton of money too!

  49. I think this choice is totally dependant on the weather -- for this time of year I would definitely choose the nude colored one -- the lower price point is merely a great bonus -- but for the fall I can really see myself loving the rich blackberry tones of Alice and Olivia's dress... Can I choose both?? :)

    ReplyDelete
  50. i love them both! but i think the alice and olivia one (the color) would probably look better on my pale skin! :)
