Thrifty Thursday: Alexander Wang Trish Leather Wedge Mule for Less

My loves, in the left corner you will spot Alexander Wang’s wondrous Trish Leather Wedge Mules – the very same ones that wowed on the runways not too long ago; in the right corner you will find Forever 21’s luscious Leatherette Wedge Loafers.

Though, of course, there is a difference in textures – the Wang’s being constructed out of true leather, the Forever 21’s being constructed out of faux – and the color of the lower-priced version is a darker shade of brown than the Wang’s; for a mere $29.80, in comparison to the $575.00 needed to take the tantalizing Trish home, they allow the frugalista to indulge in runway-worthy refinement, at a price that allows one to indulge in both haute hues (black and camel)!

Now the question remains…will you be thrifty, or suckered into putting on your spendthrift cap?

    I give up the real leather for the F21 faux ones....
    other than that they are identical.
    I love these but they are not a classic piece so I wouldn't put the $575.00

    Neither are my style, but if it's a fad, I"d get F21 and if I were to wear them beyond a season... I might splurge on the Wang... but only on sale! I do have a general rule not to wear faux leather shoes though.

    I'm actually really loving the color on the shoes from Forever 21. And the faux leather is totally animal friendly, and that price is totally in my budget! So I'll definitely have to go with F21 this time. Fabulous find! :]
