Dolls, to the left we have Carmen Marc Valvo’s ravishing Ruched One-Piece; to the right savor the magnificence that is Merona’s blissful Bandeau Shirred One Piece Swimsuit in Raspberry Sorbet via Target.
Though the Merona marvel features less ruching than the Valvo pretty along the bodice; for a mere $34.99, as opposed to the $167.00 required to add the chic Carmen piece to your swimsuit collection, it is le premiere way for a glamazon such as yourself to channel her inner retro glamour girl poolside this summer – at a price fit for the fabulous frugalista!
Your turn loves…will you be thrifty or suckered into putting on your spendthrift cap?
Fashionably yours!

I love the neckline! And the color is fantastic!
ReplyDeleteI actually have the Merona suit in blue and really love it!
ReplyDeleteSwimsuits can last many season if cared for properly so I think its ok to spend a little more for one since the cost per wear might be very low.
ReplyDeleteI love Target! I usually have good luck with their stuff. However, swimming suits usually run very small at Target. So you just might have to go up a size.
ReplyDeleteTarget is always my favorite when it comes to Spring Break items.
ReplyDeleteSuch a classic! Yeah, for Target!
ReplyDeleteLove the Carmen Marc Valvo's. That extra ruched adds some glamour to the piece. It may eve hide some little rolls .... :) if the gym doesn't do it.

Both look great!
ReplyDeletei'd have to go for the carmen marc valvo, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteOoooooh fab Target find!

The neckline is fabulous, but I don't think that any of these are my style. I can't do the strapless thing. Hope you have a good Sunday, E. :)
ReplyDeleteI usually say I wish I had the body for that but I tried on a Kenneth Cole at Dillards the other day that had a similar silhouette and it actually hides all of the imperfections women tend to want to hide! :)
ReplyDeleteI prefer this swimsuit with less ruching, and would pick the Merona. Summer will be here before we know it!
ReplyDeleteLove these! I think I'd go for the Merona. I don't like spending a lot on bathing suits.
ReplyDeleteI need to go to Target! Love this find.
ReplyDeleteLove the color. Such a great swim suit.
ReplyDeleteI would go for the inexpensive bathing suit for this one! It's equally as pretty!
ReplyDeleteI WANT! I must have the Merona version... ASAP!

I've always wanted a Carmen Marc Valvo swimsuit! They look like they would be so flattering for my "pear shape" :) I also find that some inexpensive suits have less "support". So I definitely need all the lift and suction I can get.
ReplyDeleteThe Merona doesn't look as flattering, but that could be the model's fault. Neither is really my style, but I do adore the color!
ReplyDeleteThe color is great. I've looking for a pretty one piece.
ReplyDeleteI like the Merona swimsuit. <3
ReplyDeleteI'm so excited. It's nearly warm enough to go swimming! The Carmen Marc Valvo one is so pretty. Love it.
ReplyDeleteLooks like a cute swimsuit! I could never bring myself to spend $167 on a bathing suit, anyway.
ReplyDeleteI love Target, but never even thought about buying a swimsuit there. Am so glad one-piece suits are more of an option now -- without looking matronly. Thanks! I found your site through Whole Latte Life -- great blog!
ReplyDeleteThis both look great but I think my favorite is the Merona. I really like the color also. Glad I found your blog.
ReplyDeleteI am so in the need of a hot swimsuit that is sexy but demur...this look would be perfect (and hello...Target has some great suits this year!!!! :))
ReplyDeleteThis swimsuit is so cute! I adore all these vintage inspired styles.
ReplyDeleteThe Merona would definitely do. ♥
I think I would spring for the Carmen. The ruching on the bodice is really pretty. I usually get suits with straps though, I need the extra support.

Maybe it's just the way its presented, but the Carmen looks ten times better!

i'm not that into one-pieced swimwear- but the one in the first shot looks nice.. but still i prefer two-piece.. then you get more tan ;)
ReplyDeletehope you're having a great weekend
xx
I so love you! I am so happy to see some one piece. I don't wear two pieces so this is perfect. It is so difficult to banish the stigma of the one piece!
ReplyDeleteI actually prefer the pricier one this time around. I really, really adore the look though. Not enough girls rock the one-piece.
ReplyDeleteLove this suit and I love the color too!!!
ReplyDeleteI WANT THIS SWIMSUIT !
ReplyDeleteglisters and blisters
this is an amazing Target find!! xo
ReplyDeleteWhat a killer shade! I love it.

Merona for sure because I see virtually no difference!! However, if for some reason my stomach was scary in the Target one, I would switch it up :)
ReplyDeleteWell summer is coming to an end here in Australia, but I do think they are a gorgeous colour. Not sure if it's the model that makes the Valvo more attractive, I'm sure it has something to do with it!
ReplyDeleteCool! I like first piece! :)
ReplyDeleteomg Erika I adore this swimsuit!!!! On my way to Target..... or maybe online since there are no Targets in Rome! haha
ReplyDeleteAMAZING find.
xoxo

Target had a really cute lace sundress last time I was there.
ReplyDeletethey're very much alike!!! woah!
ReplyDeleteI've been eying the vintage one pieces at Target for awhile and this one is cute!
ReplyDeleteLet me just say that I have been borderline obsessed with this suit since like like 239432 years ago when they did that Vanity Fair Desperate Housewives cover where they all wore different colors of it. Newport News' Shape FX swimsuit line also has a cheaper version that comes with magic cloth to make you skinny.
ReplyDeleteMhmmmm! I need a couple of swimsuit for the next season! :D
ReplyDeleteƸ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ
Ohh one-piece bathing suits never looked so good! I think I need to get one for this summer. Though the Merona is definitely a close second, I'm going to have to splurge and get the Carmen Marc Valvo one! I love the extra ruching!
ReplyDeletexx, becs
I love both! the color is great and the shape!
ReplyDeleteI like both, but I think the styling done for Carmen Marc Valvo swimsuit is much nicer.
ReplyDeleteGo cheap, of course! Haha. And perhaps buy 3 in the process. :D
ReplyDeletemg your blog is super cute!!!
ReplyDeleteand the Merona is just as nice as the Carmen
a really nice pick =)
