Tightwad Tuesday: Alice + Olivia Georgina Fitted Peplum Dress for Pennies

Mon doux, to your left gaze upon the glory of Alice + Olivia’s Georgina Fitted Peplum Dress; to the right brace yourself for a swoon over Forever 21’s très magnifique Modern Ingénue Dress.

Though the flirty Forever piece features a slightly larger peplum upon the waist, and is crafted out of cotton as opposed to the silk/spandex combo of its Alice + Olivia counterpart; for a mere $17.80, in comparison to the $297.00 price tag of the Fitted Peplum frock, it is a cheap and chic take on the glamorous Georgina that is absolutely perfect for the budget babe!

    I like the Alice one better because it's more fitted. I have a short torso so the forever 21 one might be a lil akward for me. Cute dress! I have a night wedding to go to...this might work!! =)

    Thrifty. I like the look of the F21 better. The ruffle isn't as distinct, which I like. It seems a softer look.

    Even though the F21 is a great alternative, you can tell that the Alice and Olivia fit is much better. So I would go for that one...fit trumps price :)

    I think the A&O dress is tailored much better and is much more flattering. The dress is cute! But I wouldn't spend almost $300 on it lol. I guess it's F21 for me!
