Tightwad Tuesday: Brian Atwood Maniac Platform Pumps for Pennies

Les chats de chaton, in the left corner plant your pretty kohl-rimmed peepers upon Brian Atwood’s marvelous Maniac Hidden Platform Pumps – the very same ones seen upon the fashionably fabulous feet of Victoria Beckham, Eva Longoria, Kristin Cavallari, Kim Kardashian, Rosario Dawson, and Jessica Stroup; in the right corner prepare to swoon over ALDO’s blissful Bremseth.

Though the Bremseth beauties are slightly lighter in hue than their haute couture counterparts; for a mere $90.00, in comparison to the $650.00 needed to get crazy with the Maniac, they are le perfect compromise for the frugal fashionista looking for big-time style on a barely-there budget. Even better, they come in four charming colors (Bone, Patent Black, Bronze, and Medium Silver) – so you can splurge and get them all, should you feel so compelled!

Are you having a tightwad moment darlings, or are you plagued with a craving to splurge?

Thanks to Saks Fifth Avenue and Amazon for the pictures.

  1. These are beautiful. Wow...90 bucks. Still, not sure my poor feet could handle them. I'll just have to worship them from afar.

  14. Ah, if only I could wear such high shoes! I think in this case the Brian Atwood's do look much nicer--there's something about the slightly darker hue that looks more expensive in my mind--but maybe that's just me.
Hope all is well with you Erika--I just moved to LA and I'm going to email you today!

  17. Ok here's the thing...I am a pump addict. I love pumps. I could wear them 7 days a week 365 days a year. Now Brian Atwood, has mastered the art of making the perfect pump. In this case, if I had $650 in my pocket I would definitely no questions asked make the splurge. And with this nude color, they'd go with everything!!

  30. I actually like the ALDO's better. I like the lighter color, more of a nude....whereas the darker beige color of the Brian Atwood's would be harder to pair with outfits.

  34. Aldo's version are phenomenal. I bought the black patent and then followed up with the blue patent. The blue is adorably sexy, I love them. Wonderful stilleto heel, but only for those well practiced in walking in very high heel. I am puzzled that Aldo's shoes consistently run a size small.
