{muse of the moment} slouchy knits + sequin minis

My predilection for oversized, slouchy knits and barely-there sequin minis manages to rear its head at precisely the same time each year; and once it arrives there is absolutely no way to shake its presence. It’s an unexpected conundrum, seeing as how the former seems more suited for {stylishly} hibernating for the winter months {with white hot chocolate in hand}; while the latter is more apropos for after-midnight soirees involving dancing and, perhaps most definitely laughing champagne towers.

Truth be told, even during SoCal winters, there is very little room for bare legs; rather, the weather is more suited to Instagramming indoors with a good book and a plate of Neiman Marcus Chocolate Chip Cookies {P.S. They're TDF}, or taking quick denim-and-boot shots in the backyard before Jack Frost nips at your nose a bit too much.

Regardless, my obsession du jour is not an impossible dream….if both pieces are worn together, as shown in these ultrastylish snapshots. Now all that’s needed is a sequin mini of my own – the search is on…wish me luck!
