Gray is one of those in-between eye colors. Sometimes they lean green, while others they appear blue {as the impossibly beautiful Olivia Wilde illustrates perfectly}. The warmth of orange / apricot / tangerine or metallic copper shadows draws out the steeliness of gray eyes; dark chocolate liners and smoky mauve shadows add a mysterious touch to your gaze; and navy liners are perfect for highlighting any hints of blue in your eyes. Go subtle with your look by keeping in line with your natural hue with charcoal liners or pearl gray shadows; or play the sultry card with an eggplant liner and light purple shadow.
