There are few soirees that I crave invites to; the sole exclusion being that of cocktail parties. No, it has absolutely nothing to do with the promised cocktails, or expected finger foods; rather, it has everything to do with designer cocktail dresses. The selecting, the trying on, and, ultimately, the buying {my favorite part}.

Each step in the process comes attached to its own type of thrill, bringing you one moment closer to the time when you can finally slick on a pretty lip color, fasten on glittering false lashes {for those extra special occasions}, and slip into the flirty frock du jour for an evening of showing off chatting with our charming cohorts in a sophisticated setting.

At the moment, my cocktail party card is empty; but I'm in the mood for wishing, so I've constructed une petite list featuring five pieces of chic that are currently on my radar - 1. Silk Chiffon Watercolour Dress + 2. Iridescent Chiffon Side-Drape Dress + 3. Silk Chiffon Watercolour Dress + 4. Printed Silk Chiffon Swing Dress + 5. Silk Chiffon Cocktail Dress. Why yes...it would appear that I have a bit of a crush on chiffon {at least for today}.
