{muse of the moment} Derek Lam for Kohl's DesigNation

I am one of those crazed devoted Target shoppers who counts the seconds until the release of designer collabs that pop up every few months or so, then promptly proceed to add countless limited edition creations to my virtual shopping cart {in the wee hours of the morning, mind you}. So of course this devotion made the leap to Kohl's when they began the DesigNation line.

While I loved the ladylike sophistication of the first DesignNation collab with Narciso Rodriguez; the Southern-California-beachy-waves-bikini-clad-boho-chic-Venice-Beach-surfer vibe of the upcoming Derek Lam for DesigNation collection {inspired by Derek's very own vacay to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and in stores April 5} has left me in a hazy, dream-like trance, envisioning road trips, boardwalk frolics, and perhaps, a little impromptu summer romance.

    I am 100% with you Erika, this collection looks absolutely bonkers good. The trews/heels combo in #1 and those front-buttoned skirts are goooorgeous. Oh I wish I lived in the States sometimes...
