NOTD: JULEP Courteney

Two coats of JULEP Courteney. Key-Lime Green Crème.

As a mint polish junkie I have a tendency to re-buy the same color over and over {and over and over} again from different companies and collections {at last count I had 11 mint green shades - all practically identical}. So…I was incredibly excited to spot JULEP’s Courteney, which had a bit of the same vibe of a mint green in a more summer-y offering – key lime.

Like a mint green, Courteney has that pale-yet-bright quality that makes it equal parts subdued and standout; but the color itself is unlike anything I have seen before. Sometimes it looks avocado {think 1970s green}, others it appears more kiwi or key-lime toned. One thing is for sure…it is so, so perfect for summer manis and pedis. If you’re a fan of green nail colors this one is a must, as the formula is incredibly easy to work with, and the hue is something you definitely don’t have in your collection!

  2. Oh so gorgeous! I like the Key Lime aspect of it. Just some thing quick here with Wet n Wild's Fuschia Rama with a top coat of Mega Last's Dust in the Wind. I was hoping it would be more of a solid color than it is.

  5. Definitely a color I'd use a lot this season. Awesome.

I'm still wearing more metalic colors as of late.

  6. This does make me think of summer and green apples. I need more greens in my many collection of nail polish. The last couple of months...blue was the color I was into. Still "blues" seem to have an odd texture against many of the other polishes.

  14. Oh pretty! I adore mint too, I think I have only 2 shades though! There is an Essie shade a little like this that I just bought. I will have to look when I get home, but it would be right up your ally!
