Darlings, the bandage dress is not something that should easily slip from one’s thoughts, as it is a style that every girl should have hanging in her closet, regardless of how often it is deemed appropriate to be trotted out to tantalize the senses of random passersby as you wow the world with your wardrobe during a daring girls’ night out or enchanting excursion complete with cute boy, a dozen red roses, and a candlelit dinner for two. Throw in a shimmering metallic hue, and there’s no question that you’re on the road to refined elegance in the fabulous frock department – case in point, Herve Leger’s Josephine One-Shoulder Foil Dress.
Try as you might, my loves, I truly cannot imagine unearthing a design which embodies the same sort of bliss proffered by the majestic Josephine, as she goes where no bodycon beauty has ever gone before.
Josephine does not feel relegated to sticking to just one seductive characteristic; quite the opposite in fact. Instead, she is constructed with thoughts of making the wearer feel as beautiful as she looks by not only hugging each and every curve to create a slinky silhouette; but by fulfilling the

At $1,690.00 – now on sale for $844.99 – it is quite unlikely that we will have the chance to call Josephine our new BFF; nevertheless, we still have the chance to make her sleek style our own courtesy of the Metallic One-Shoulder Banded Dress from Express.
Only $79.50, Express’ elegant Metallic One-Shoulder Banded Dress is every bit as stunning as its high-end counterpart; with the added bonus of being priced just right for the beautiful bargain hunter!
Is today the day for you to please the big spender within; or will you play it cool and be thrifty?
Fashionably yours!

Cool & thrifty! I love these Tuesday posts!! I'm trying to save money to move out of my parents house so if I can look great for less, well sign me up!! =)
ReplyDeleteOooo this dress is so elegant and beautiful! The cheaper dress is just as stunning, so I would go for the bargain! This would be the perfect dress for a romantic night out, or just for cocktails!

ReplyDeletethis dress looks great
hi dear this is very nice outfit coolest post
ReplyDeletethanks for beautiful comment erika

I've seen the bandage dresses at Express and really want to get one. They are so affordable!
ReplyDeleteThey're both practically identical! But with a $79.50 price tag, you can't go wrong with the Express pick! I cannot wait to pull off a bandage dress! I think they're uber sexy!
ReplyDeleteThe bandage dress from Express is definitely a great buy, not only does it look similar to the first dress but it is a lot cheaper. I can already buy me a bag with the price of the Josephine dress. hahaha!
ReplyDeleteHave a great day Erika! xoxo
Express, here I come! I usually only head there for basic pieces, so this is a nice surprise.
ReplyDeleteThat being said, after the loss of Mr. McQueen, I've been thinking about buying a piece of his just because he was absolutely genius and inspirational and it would be a piece of fashion history...what's your take on this?
Gorgeous dress!
ReplyDeleteThe greatest dress ever to show off every curve of a woman's body!
ReplyDeleteOh wow, that Express dress is divine and definitely closer to my price range. Your writing style is so impeccable and such a delight to read, so thanks for that! xo
ReplyDeleteoh shiny! lol I really love these dresses but I will have to lean with express. I know I typically lean towards the cheaper ones but they look so similiar that I can't say no to express. ~sara
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I so wish I suited this style dress.
ReplyDeleteHi there-thats a stunning dress my dear, really lovely!
ReplyDeleteOh my god, these dresses are stunning! You always find the best things. I need a nude dress for this summer.

I love how you write ( as always). I really love nude dresses so this is super cute but you're right, I would sooner die than purchase a dress for $850 dollars "on sale". Great find here Erika- they look almost completely the same to me.
ReplyDeleteI love the style and the color.
ReplyDeleteI've got to admit a Hervé Leger bandage dress was always a dream of mine (still is); but your cheaper version is a very attractive alternative. Golden gorgeousness!
ReplyDeleteI've got to admit a Hervé Leger bandage dress was always a dream of mine (still is); but your cheaper version is a very attractive alternative. Golden gorgeousness!
ReplyDeleteI love the color the the style. : )
ReplyDeleteomg,they are identical:)
ReplyDeletethrifty of course...I'm so broke right now due to some shipping&custmos taxes:((:((
I actually like the cheaper one better!
ReplyDeleteomg, they r totally d same thing, maybe except for fabrication...anyway ur not gonna wear it more than 5 times :o]
ReplyDeleteYou know what i look forward to most on tuesdays and thursdays...these posts. You're so good! And that dress is lovely!!
ReplyDeleteSo exciting that you could find it at that low of a price.
ReplyDeleteRight..some girls have all the luck!
I like the metallic look to the Express style, which gives the color some pop over the more subtle first style above. I'd choose Express!
ReplyDeletei'll go for the express version!
ReplyDeleteLove these dresses. Both are gorgeous! I think I might actually like the metallic look of the Express version a bit better, too.
ReplyDeleteBoth are gorgeous, but the Josephine's sleeve is the more classic piece. Love it.

Spring into Spring giveaway
OMG - this is such a great find Erika!! I love this color for Spring too ;-)
ReplyDeleteI love, love love the Herve Leger dress and Express option is such a steal... unfortunately it looked horribly on me :( There is just something about Herve Leger bandage dresses - i swear they make you look/feel skinnier than any other bandage material i've tried! But ohhh what a price...
ReplyDeleteWow. Thanks for the tip. They look almost identical...
ReplyDeleteI cannot believe how identical both look. An the express one is much cheaper! I love the express one more though! Love the post
ReplyDeleteThe Express version rocks! The only thing is I would feel the need to wear shapewear with it (supposedly the original bandage dress sucks in everything right?)
ReplyDeletethese dresses are gorgeous. i even prefer the express one.
ReplyDeleteOOh perfect find! Definitely save when the save looks as lovely as this!
ReplyDeleteI will take the Express one. Herve Leger dresses squash everything. xo

Oh, Erika! How could you make us choose between the utterly beautiful but hideously expensive Herve and this delightful copy? My heart says Herve but my purse says Express! :) x
ReplyDeleteSuch beautiful dresses. I can imagine a bandage dress to be a great and versatile investment. But it is so expensive. I willl definitely be a tightwad this week!
ReplyDeleteGirlfriend I am obsessed with Herve, but unfortunately he is way out of my budget. I love that there is a cheaper version. I am totally going to be a tightwad this Tuesday!
ReplyDeletei'd go thrifty for this one.. but my how i want a herve leger dress in my wardrobe!!
ReplyDeleteThrifty! I could never do a one shoulder though- even though I am developing Michelle Obama arms haha. But I love the bracelet the second model is wearing.
ReplyDeleteomg i would LOVE to own that herve leger dress!!!
ReplyDeletethat dress is a beauty!
ReplyDeleteI'd obviously take the express version ;)
Gorgeous dress and I always like the thrifty alternatives, Express is amazing!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is a pure piece of magical, scintillating gold. I would love to slip it on.
ReplyDeleteI see that we have similar passions, wondrous big city life and glam gear frocks.
Thanks a bunch for your comment!
I was just thinking this weekend how I would love to own a Herve Leger dress so this post makes me extremely happy. although I'm not sure if I'm tan enough to wear gold yet :)
ReplyDeleteExpress baby!
ReplyDeleteyou have SUCH a skill for finding the most amazing lookalikes! i love the express one!

Fabulous! But how on earth do you find all these fabulous high-market / affordable-market matches?!
ReplyDeletexox *cara*
I love bandage dresses... and I have yet to find one to fit my curvy shape. :)
ReplyDeletexx Love & Aloha
Pretty!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful dress and a great deal!
ReplyDeleteWow, I have to say I like Express's better. The fitted bottom is just a bit sexier.
ReplyDeleteLove, love, love Express! Both dresses look wonderful, but goodness, the Express dress is just so budget-perfect! Take care lady, and I added some SXSW stuff as well :)
ReplyDeleteLove these posts of yours lady! These two options look so similar that it makes it easy to decide which one to go with - thrifty! My only warning would be with the colour and to make sure it doesn't match too too close to your skin otherwise that just looks odd :p
ReplyDeleteBtw I'm hosting a giveaway! Tell me your holy grail beauty must-haves, and you could win!

Honestly, the Express dress caught my eye 100% more ... either because the image is better or because I like the fitted bottom of the dress more. Such a stunning find, you awesome fashionista :D
ReplyDeleteOh my , if I have to choose , I'd definitely choose the Express one ! It looks just the same , but the price is so much different ! What a nice post , Erika ! Love love this :D Have a nice day for you ! xoxox
ReplyDeleteI'll go thrifty due to the fact that this dress would make limited appearances, limited but fabulous.

B* a la Moda
ofcourse ill be thrifty! THEY LOOK ALMOST EXACTLY THE SAME!! i mean you can tell the differences when the pictures are side by side, but at first glance, i seriously thought they were the same dresses!! so im definitely going with express
ReplyDeletehttp://blair-waldork.blogspot.com
love herve leger! wow, that's quite the steal from express!! such a lovely dress! thx for sharing!
ReplyDeleteTheOwlsCloset.blogspot.com
i love this section, even though i cant get any of the labels here.
ReplyDeletethis one is an awesome comparison! hot damnnnn
Fabulous find!
ReplyDeleteThe only thing that concerns me is that the panels, or bandage stripes, are considerably larger on the cheaper version and from previous experience this has often resulted in a failure to conceal "the bloat"! Still, at that price the dress is a definite steal, at least there would still be money left over for some magic knickers!

I just love realisng i can suddenly afford something :)
ReplyDeleteThese dresses look so similar! And they're both gorgeous! I'll definitely be thrifty and take the version from Express. :) Plus, I like that the Express one seems to be shorter.
ReplyDeleteLove the metallic Toga style more!
ReplyDeleteThat is a nifty replica! Definitely go thrifty.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's an awesome replica of Herve Leger. :D Gotta love bandage dresses, I usually buy mine from Bebe :p
ReplyDeleteOh my I really can not believe how much these two dresses look alike. I pretty much always roll with the tightwad choice but in this case I am soooo rolling with the tightwad choice. Good find!!
ReplyDeleteThis dress is a real beauty, anyone on wearing this will look hot . Golden color seems suitable on that lady. Such dresses really adds beauty to womens life.
