Why Don't You...?

…fill up on frosting? Everyone knows that the frosting is the best part of any dessert; therefore, accidentally-on-purpose forget the cake mix at the supermarket, and instead buy containers of cream cheese, caramel, and milk chocolate frosting. What to do next? Dig in, of course!

…write your autobiography? Darlings, there is absolutely no question in my mind that you are destined to be superstars in the very near future; get started on your memoirs early!

…spend the day chasing butterflies? Slip off your towering Twelfth St. by Cynthia Vincent Luella Zip Wedge Sandals, top your luxurious locks with a pretty sunhat, and run freely through an open field after your newfound fluttering friends!

…search for the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow? Do beware of leprechauns, kitty cats; they’re rumored to be quite vicious!

…flashback to another era – in terms of style, that is? Go sixties mod a la Twiggy via spider lashes, and mini dresses. Play the role of twenties flapper with feathered headbands and fringed frocks. Allocate the use of faux fur vests and empire waist dresses to channel your inner seventies haute hippie. Or simply be a maniac by styling yourself in eighties-inspired off-the-shoulder tops and legwarmers. Dolls there are times when modern style is completely overrated – this is one of them!

Fashionably yours!

  26. Great ideas here! As a writer, I second your suggestion to start your memoirs. Not necessarily an entire life story, but some aspect of it. Everyone's got a story to tell, after all. Happy writing :)

  27. I have to disagree with you on this one, love! I am not a frosting lover one bit! I'm afraid I don't have much of a sweet tooth. But how about I eat the cake part & you can have all my frosting?? It's a win/win for both :)

  36. 20's flapper sounds like fun and glamorous! I've been experimenting with makeup and such, now I wish I had somewhere to go as a flapper. Halloween seems too far away and I don't know whether flappers are overdone? Now I'm thinking I'll try a range of looks from different decades...if only I had the time! But you have inspired me and your posts always do, so thank you for that.

  37. Cream cheese frosting is ridiculously yummy. Sometimes self-indulgence, in the form of frosting or a minidress or watching mindless tv or a pedicure--is just the most delightful thing in the world. Thanks for that reminder. :)

  38. I can't wait to write my autobiography now! I have nothing interesting to write...yet, but it'll be fun.

I'd love to dress from different eras! That's such a cool way to liven up your outfits.

  40. tee hee. this is horrible to admit, but i used to be the baker in the family when i was a kid, and i quickly memorized how to make homemade frosting. DELICIOUS! who needs cake?!? sometimes i make a little bowl of it as a treat. it is horrendously decadent! :)

  54. Hello! Thanks for dropping by my blog! i thought I;d return the favour :)

Mmmmm...frosting ..om nom nom. They need to invent a type of frosting that has the same benefits as spinach and broccoli, but still tastes like frosting.

I'm all for fashion flashbacks too! Although in my case i delve even further into the past, seeking out inspiration from the Victorian era, and rococo. Luvverly. Sigh!

  55. Erika, I'm totally doing the frosting, the autobiography and the go sixties thing!! :) Love these weekly to-do lists which are so much better than the regular stupid ones that we daily make! :P ;)

  66. i love this post so much! i always wanted to write an autobiography, ahh. i've been obsessed with journals and journalling since i was like, seven. when i started writing in my first journal, my dad asked me why i was doing that - and apparently i replied (i don't really remember this but he always tells this story) - "because one day I'm going to be famous, and I'm the only one whose gonna tell my story" LOL

enjoy your thursday dear anndddd fellow ex-Neopian ;)
