Darlings, to the left take a peek at the pretty Parker Pocket Shirt in Off White / Cream from Elizabeth and James; to the right plant your kohl-rimmed cat eyes upon the Sheer Pocket Shirt in Beach Pebble from GAP.
While the GAP gem is constructed out of 100% Polyester, as opposed to the 100% Silk construction of the elegant Elizabeth & James; for just $59.95, in comparison to the $295.00 price tag of Parker, it is le perfect compromise for the budget babe – and allows for the frugal fashionista to snag both smoldering shades (Beach Pebble and True Black)!
So mes chéris, what are you up to today? Will your AmEx take a beating with a splurge, or will you stay safe and thrifty with a frugal buy?
Fashionably yours!

Toough choice as I'm loving shirts like this atm. I would have to ssay the Elizabeth and James one as another way to wear it is over a tank unbuttoned :) as always fab choices!! xxx
ReplyDeleteI like the Gap better because it doesnt have the buttons all the way down.
ReplyDeleteAmazing find, darling!

Oooh cute!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the Gap one. I love white button downs but when the buttons go all the way down it makes me look really weird. I like it when they go half way. For some reason it just looks better on me. Although I'll have to wear something substantial underneath. See through!
ReplyDeleteGap!
ReplyDeleteWhile I love the savings, I do actually own some Elizabeth and James shirts and the quality is amazing. I have looked at the shirts at the gap and the way they hang is just not the same, plus the cut is much slimmer. There's something I really enjoy about the E & J loose cuts out of sheer cotton fabric, but that's just me. I am a stickler for cut. Great post as always Erika!

Ohh I even like the GAP better! The perfect shirt to throw on.
ReplyDeleteGreat shirts. They are so similar.
ReplyDeleteI would definitely choose the one from Gap. I actually have that picture on my Pinterest board. It's adorable, right?
ReplyDeleteLovely shirts for summer!
ReplyDeletei'd have to say elizabeth and james, with the buttons all the way down..
ReplyDeleteI've been on the hunt for a sheer blouse. I choose the Gap top hands down!!
ReplyDeletexoxo,
Mel
Ok this is when my taste betrays me! although I am a regular Gap shopper and love most of their stuff I cannot trade the 100% classic Elizabeth and James shirt.

Heading over to Gap now to get this! lol
ReplyDeleteThe silk blouse probably feels fantastic, but I think I could do without the hefty price tag! So GAP it is for me :)
ReplyDeleteI was in the GAP yesterday and I missed this?!?
ReplyDeleteI may have to go back and check it out now.
Cute! Those shirts are so similar and it's amazing how you can get such a similar piece for so much less!

The one from Gap is great, but I'm gonna have to splurge and go with Elizabeth and James. It looks so perfectly slouchy!
ReplyDeleteThey're both so cute! Love, love, love!
ReplyDeleteCamila F.

ReplyDeleteI would most def go with the GAP version
ReplyDeleteA white blouse is absolutely perfecdt. The Elizabeth and James one is gorgeous.

Wow-imagine paying that much for a simple white shirt. I'll settle for the Gap one
ReplyDeleteWhile the Gap shirt is way more reasonable in price, I like the Elizabeth and James shirt better!
ReplyDeletexoxo
I would play it frugal and go for the Gap shirt. Both look perfect fro a breezy summer day!
ReplyDeleteEternally yours,
Stephanie
I'd GAP this up!
ReplyDeleteOh both are lovely! And though the Gap is a very nice substitute I think I ultimately would choose the E&J if I could! I like the button down.
ReplyDeleteSilk vs polyester....sigh, why must quality always be compromised?? Oh the woes of shopping reality. But I'll go with Gap here.
