Ray-Ban romancing...

Contrary to what many may assume, second in line to my love for shoe obsession is not handbags or diamonds, but sunglasses. Specifically, Ray-Ban Sunglasses. Blame it upon my present location, where even on the most overcast of overcast days sunglasses are mandatory; but in the opinion of yours truly, they are one of those accessories you simply cannot be without {even if you merely use them to conceal your eyes when checking out cute boys}. While I would love more than anything to be able to wear the Ray-Ban Aviators seen on street style darlings, celebrities, and celebutantes alike; I find that they always make me feel unfeminine, and a bit like an off-duty police officer {very different from the off-duty model look I’d prefer}. Oversize aesthetics, like Butterfly Sunglasses, however, make me feel wildly glamorous; which is why I was more than happy beyond thrilled to accept such a pair from Sunglasses Shop. Enter the Ray-Ban Jackie Ohh Sunglasses {as seen on Ashley Greene, Peaches Geldof, Anna Paquin, Heather Graham, Courtney Love, and Elin Nordegren}.

As the name alludes, the Jackie Ohh is certainly a pair of sunnies that one could imagine Jackie O herself wearing {in the ever-chic black color}; I, however, being pale to a vampire-like extent, opted for the Light Havana offering - a tortoiseshell hue that is incredibly complementary to my light brown hair {and will look gorgeous in the glinting sunshine come spring and summer}. In the past week alone they've been paired with riding boots and ponytails; cropped blazers and skinny jeans; pleated faux-leather minis and suede platform booties. And you know what? They've managed to add that special blink-and-you'll-miss-it je ne sais quoi to each and every style. Now I'm simply counting down the days until bikini season arrives, as I know that they'll look just as spectacular coupled with my cache of skimpy swimsuits from Victoria's Secret.
