Tightwad Tuesday: Giuseppe Zanotti E10000 Slingback Platform Pump for Pennies

Mon doux, in the left corner we have the tres glamorous Giuseppe Zanotti E10000 Slingback Platform Pump in Nude – the very same style seen donned by Brittany Snow, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Kerry Washington; in the right corner you will find Chinese Laundry’s tempting Traffic Jam Patent Sandal in Dark-Beige.

Though the charming Chinese Laundry offering is crafted out of faux leather as opposed to the real leather construction of Zanotti’s saucy Slingback; for a mere $79.95, in comparison to the $595.00 required to make le gorgeous Giuseppe’s your own, they are every bit as capable of stopping admirer’s in their tracks – and allow the budget babe to indulge in all four stunning shades (Dark-Beige, Black, Bright-Red, and Magenta)!

So mes chéris, what are you up to today? Will your AmEx take a beating with a splurge, or will you stay safe and thrifty with a frugal buy?

Fashionably yours!

Even though I tend to always go for the less expensive shoes, I actually like the Chinese Laundry heels better even just by looking at them. I like the color better. :)

I know what I'm gonna do. I'm going to go with the Chinese Laundry, save myself all types of scratch, and the peta side of me will congratulate myself for buying faux leather. Win-win.

But someday I shall buy some Zanotti's. Maybe after I publish my first book...

These shoes are stunning. I love the peep toe and the strap at the bak. I definitely prefer the Zanotti pair. The colour of it is gorgeous.

I love nude peep-toe shoes. They make my legs look longer and thinner. :)

I almost never splurge on heels... honestly, I can't feel the difference since I have dancer's feet and no matter the quality of a pair of stilettos or pumps, they will always pinch my bunions and corns where it hurts the most. Choosing between these two, I would have to go with Chinese Laundry so I had some cash left for all the necessary cab rides that would follow...

I love the color and shine on those Zanotti's so I'd save up!

love the price of the heels by Chines Laundry, but both are really cute. i like both shades.

Angelica Ng said...

The price diff is tempting, but when put side to side like that, the Zanotti's are much better. Nothing beats that nice real leather, in a gorgeous blush tone.

oh my, i love these and actually own a similar pair. Alas, most of the time I admire them, hardly wear them because the heels are too hard to walk in down SF's super hilly streets.
