Jennifer Beals circa Flashdance will forever be my athleisure inspo. For one, she popularized my go-to look of off the shoulder tops, sweaters...if it's off the shoulder, it reigns - period. Two, she made sweaty sexy. With athleisure currently running the world, I'm all about rocking my sporty looks outside the gym {or, in my case, the dance studio}. Here are 6 pieces I'm loving for sleek studio to street style!
{2} TOPSHOP Space Dye Loungewear Joggers{$52.00}The slim-fit keeps them from looking frumpy post-workout. Pair them with a denim jacket for ultimate cool girl style.
{3} Argento Vivo Medium Tube Hoop Earrings in Gold{$98.00}Small enough to keep from interfering with your workout; large enough to add a little sparkle once you hit the street. Couple them with a low-ponytail to show them off!
{4} TOPSHOP GALLOP Nubuck Court Shoes{$95.00}Style them alongside a slouchy top and slim-fit joggers for a flirty post-fitness #ootd.
{6} FALKE ERGONOMIC SPORT SYSTEM Versatility Stretch-Jersey Sports Bra{$125.00}The double-layer look + scuba-like zip-front make it perfect for stepping out in style. Wear it under an open, fitted black blazer for a night out on the town!
Embrace a summerfied version of the Canadian Tuxedo via a slouchy white tank and distressed white skinnies topped with a light blue denim jacket. Nude, lace-up cage heels are flirty; while a layered necklace and double-banded midi ring are elegantly edgy. Grab a sheer pink polish for a subtle splash of color; creating a girly yet oh-so season-apropos stare with a pearly pink to peach eyeshadow trio.
As much as I love my sunkissed skin and smoky eyes, I've been seriously swoony over floral-inspired beauty that is soft and sweet, paired with feminine crown braids that feel whimsical and fairytale-esque. Together, they create an all-overromantic vibe that is so perfect for summer days. Here are 6 products that I'm loving for getting girly!
{1} OPI Nail Lacquer in PETAL SOFT{$9.50}Forget standard glitter; these pastel pieces are flower-shaped!
{2} MILANI Rose Powder Blush in CORAL COVE{$7.99}Hyper-pigmented, so a single swipe leaves you with bright, beautiful cheeks.
Two coats of JULEP Nail Color in Kendall. Vibrant Fuchsia with Blue Iridescent Shimmer.
Kendall was made for summer. Period.
This may be one of my all-time favorite Julep colors. She's just so pretty and squishy {she's got a little jelly to her}. Sadly, she's also a bit of a pain to work with {sorry Kendall!}.
Let me tell you, Kendall is one thick and gloppy polish - it literally needs to be babied during application, which can grow tiresome. Wiping the brush excessively on the mouth of the bottle before bringing it near your nail is highly recommended.

I love a summer wedding. Aside from the fact that flowers are in bloom and the sun is shining {obvious reasons, I know}; summer weddings allow bare legs {who can resist?}, and are rarely accompanied by bad weather worries.
I tend to find myself in the role of wedding guest, with the occasional stint as a bridesmaid most frequently - the latter of which I definitely don't mind when you take into consideration just how exquisite the summer bridesmaid dresses from TopWedding Australia are.
I've combed through the site, narrowing my faves down to 5 frocks that are perfect for twirling, flirting with fellow singles, and celebrating l-o-v-e!
Strapless A Line Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress with Pleats {AU $111.43}
{The aesthetic is simple yet undeniably sophisticated + showstopping.}
Chiffon Mini Homecoming Dress with Sheer Straps and Low Cut Back {AU $117.93}
{LOVE the crisscross bodice, sheer straps, and low cut back. It's a super sexy combo that has a sweet, demure feel due to the color.}
Spaghetti Strapped A Line Ruched Chiffon Bridesmaid Dress {AU $116.62}
{The ruffled, handkerchief hemline is ultra-flirty.}
Strapless Elastic Satin Knee Length Bridesmaid Dress {AU $116.62}
{More traditional in style, but still a stunner.}
Round Neck Sheath Taffeta Mini Party Dress with Pleats {AU $115.32}
{There's something so take on the world about that high neckline.}
Which pretty piece would you wear to fulfill your bridesmaid duties?

{7} Benefit Cosmetics SUN BEAM{$26.00}Apply it to cheek and browbones for a lit-from-within bronze glow that is oh-so natural!
{8} Estēe Lauder BRONZE GODDESS{$65.00}Bergamot, warm amber, tiare flower, vanilla, and creamy coconut create a summer-in-a-bottle scent that you'll never want to take off!
I've been on the hunt for a few spring-apropos nail colors that will add a little flower power to my mani game, so I couldn't resist scooping up the Essie Spring 2015 Mini Collection after spotting it at Ulta. The shades are unquestionably perfect for spring; but feature some darker hues that make this mini set gorgeous for year-round wear. Just take a peek at the swatches!
Flowerista is a Plum Creme. I rarely gravitate towards colors like this - especially for spring; but there is something seriously hypnotic about Flowerista that made it a fave for me {and not just because it falls into the category of OCW}. The formula here, though slightly tacky, is remarkably easy to work with - and so yummy to look at! This is 1 coat.
Blossom Dandy is an Icy Mint Blue Creme. Can we just agree that Essie is queen when it comes to releasing minty shades? Seriously. Blossom Dandy is close in color to Essie's cult favoriteMint Candy Apple, but it's not a dupe - Blossom Dandy is a brighter, cooler-toned color with far better formula. This is 2 coats.
Petal Pushers is a Slate Grey Creme. Ordinarily, I would be swooning over a grey shade; but since Petal Pushers follows closely on the heels of OPI's Fifty Shades of Grey Collection {which I loved}, I feel as if I'm currently greyed out. Regardless, the steely shade is still a beaut, and absolutely perfect to work with - smooth, creamy, and quickly opaque {we're talking almostOCW status}. NOTE: The color is darker IRL than what you see here. This is 2 coats.
Perennial Chic is a Peachy Apricot Nude Creme. Say hello to my favoritefavoritefavorite shade in this quartet. Perennial Chic is the quintessential nude creme that elongates rather than creating mannequin hands {likely due to the peachy/rosy undertones}. Considering how pale this color is, the formula is on. fleek. Self-leveling, buildable, and long-lasting. This is 2 coats.
AVAILABILITY:Ulta and Nordstrom for the 4-pack mini; mass market merchandisers, drugstores, and department stores for full-size individual bottles.
Slim-fitting salt and pepper track pants get sleek when paired with a black crop top and casual espadrilles. Play up the varsity-gone-polished vibe with the addition of a black satchel and oversize cateye sunnies; packing on a bit of bling with a menswear-inspired watch and crystal studs. For beauty, reach for a creamy pale peach on nails; adding a fresh-from-the-gym flush to lips and cheeks with a multi-purpose product that keeps you looking radiant!
Two coats of JULEP Nail Color in Rae. Lilac Creme.
Rae was toted as Pantone's Color of the Year for 2014; but, while it is super pretty for spring, it's definitely not an orchid pink.
Formula was very easy peasy for this pretty - it self-leveled and built opacity with minimal effort. The main thing you need to be careful of is the thickness of coats. Thin coats will give you the color you see here; thick coats will result in a far darker, dustier hue.

Is it just me, or does summer feel like the absolute perfectperfectperfect time to take clip in hair extensions for fine hair out for an extended test drive? After all, summer is a time for reinvention, growth, and exploration. Trying out new clothing styles {I recommend crop tops}, switching up your current makeup routine {embrace the highlight}, journeying to never-before-visited locales, and putting your best face forward as you vacay, partay, and simply immerse yourself in the summa summa summertime. And new hair? Puh-lease, it basically fits that imagery to. a. T.
I'm all aboutnatural hair extensions - pieces that blend in perfectly with your true tresses and add a little something something in the way of something I like to call VSL {that's volume, shine, and length}; and UU is one of my faves for scoring top hair extensions at pricepoints that won't cut into your summer savings.
Typically I'm all for golden brown locks, but for the warmer months, a time known for lighter hair and darker skin, I'm kind of digging sunkissed strands - shades that infuse blonde tones into brunette, black, and red-blonde hues. Here are just a few of my favorite hair extension options from UU!
18 inch Golden Blonde(#16) Clip in Hair Extensions 220g/12pcs {$158.55}
18 inch Medium Brown(#4) Clip in Hair Extensions 180g/10pcs {$130.55}
20 inch Ash Blonde (#24) Indian Remy Hair Tape Hair Extensions 20PCS {$74.66}
20 inch 8/613 Clip in Hair Extensions 180g/10pcs {$145.99}
20 inch 4/27 Clip in Hair Extensions 140g/10pcs {$113.99}
18 inch Ash Blonde(#24) Clip in Hair Extensions 220g/12pcs {$158.55}
Which color/style is your favorite?

I'm kind of obsessing over the current athleisure trend that's going on, because dance has taken over my life lately {which I love}, so I've basically been living in sporty looks that seamlessly transition from studio to street - exactly the inspiration behind today's board. Happy Thursday babes!
I am all aboutblack-rimmed eyes and a fierce feline flick, but sometimes it's a look that can feel too heavy for the summer months when you want that dewy, sunkissed, beachy summer vibe. Thus, I loved the white liner seen all over the Nanette Lepore Spring 2015 RTW runway, as it had that ultra-noticeable flair done up in a more summer-apropos fashion {not to mention a fun nod to the swingin' sixties}. Here are 7 products + steps to score this majorly girly glam look!
A striped bra top juxtaposes the saccharine feel of a full, baby pink midi skirt and basic {but fierce} black pumps; while a dainty gold bracelet, dewy pink lips, and a pink-meets-lilac polish keep the ultra-feminine vibes rolling. Pay homage to downtown urbanity with an edgy, thick cat eye, insane lashes, and a killer {yet super easy to create} contour. Good girl gone bad?
Two coats of Essie in Butler Please. Vivid Blue Creme.
Butler Please was...unexpected in terms of color. I've seen the shade swatched on loads of blogs, and it usually leans more cornflower blue, but on me it read far darker. A beautiful color, yes; but not really what I was in the mood for.
I wasn't a fan of the formula here - coat one was very thin, runny, and patchy; coat two evened things out.
