NOTD: Essie Nail Polish in Nama-Stay The Night
It's not often that you come across a super-saturated cerulean blue shade as stunning as this, so when you do you kind of have to add it to your stash pronto - and for good reason.
Nama-Stay The Night, aside from having one of the best polish names ever has an absolutely brilliant formula - being top-notch in density, opacity, and flow. The true icing on the cake though? No staining upon removal. Natch!
What nail color are you rocking for #ManicureMonday?

{what's in my} ipsy june 2016 glam bag!
For those of you who are unfamiliar with ipsy, it is a beauty subscription service that costs $10 per month {awesome deal IMO}, and consists of a collectible makeup bag {can also double as a clutch} along with 5 beauty samples that are customized to your personal beauty profile {which you can change/update at anytime}. I love getting subscription boxes, but don't have a ton of extra cash to spare, so I find ipsy to be the best value as each month's bags are adorable, the products are of fantastic quality, and their stylists are top-notch {and some of my fave beauty bloggers}. That being said, let's get to the bag!
June's theme was REBEL REBEL {misfits, rule breakers, badass babes, oh my!}. Inside my bag was a mini Urban Decay Eyeshadow in LOUNGE, Delectable by Cake Beauty Everything Balm, Formula X The Colors Nail Polish in WINGWOMAN, Hey Honey 24Seven Day & Night Revitalizing Cream, and Seraphine Botanicals Happy Hibiscus Blush.
Admittedly, I was hoping to receive Urban Decay's Fireball in my bag this month, but I have got to say that Lounge is gorgeous! The pigmentation is beyond {this is one swipe with no primer}, and the shade shift effect from green to a blackened plummy red is just stunning. Lounge actually reminds me a bit of ColourPop's Bae {one of my fave shades for fall} due to the shift effect, but Lounge leans more green; whereas Bae is more purple-y. Definitely turning to Lounge for my next night out, as it's perfect for a smoky eye! Will I be re-purchasing? I'm on the fence. Though not a dupe of Bae, it's definitely similar enough to opt for ColourPop's $5 offering, as opposed to UD's $18 Lounge.
I'm not gonne lie, I was a bit mystified by the Everything Balm from Delectable by Cake Beauty. The sheer pink glossy appearance def threw me. Is it a lip balm? Is it for skin? Turns out, the name is fairly telling of its uses - you can use it for everything. I've mainly been using it on my lips for hydration and it. is. bomb. It's lightweight and non-greasy {woot!}, and has that versatility thing going for it. I used it on my cuticles a few days ago, and it was so nourishing, so I thought I'd mix it with a glitter shadow pigment for my eyes, and voila - totally gorgeous #EOTD. It's also amaze at moisturizing dry spots {i.e. elbows and knees}. Would I repurchase? Probably not, as the price is a bit steep for such a small tube, and I can get similar results from Vaseline; but if money weren't an option I'd definitely be stocking up on more!
I'm a massive fan of Formula X polishes, so Wingwoman was a fab treat! Though the shade looks red in the bottle; on the nail it has just the slightest hint of pinky undertone that makes an otherwise fall / winter hue feel fresh for summer. Like virtually all Formula X polishes, Wingwoman featured a fab, easy to use formula that fell just shy of OCW territory. Would I repurchase? This particular shade, no {it's just not my typical style}; but I will definitely be grabbing other colors from the line.
I feel like face creams will forever be my least-liked product in Glam Bags, and it has nothing to do with the products themselves; it's merely not a product category that I use often. I've received Hey Honey products in my bags in the past, but the 24Seven Day & Night Revitalizing Cream is new to me. This is to be used on your face, neck, or under the eyes - I used it on the latter. The texture initially feels tacky, but it smooths easily, and really adds radiance to the skin when used over a period of time. Did I mention it smells amazing? Would I repurchase? No, as I don't think I'd get a lot of use out of it. But for those who use day and/or night creams I think this would be a worthy investment.
I can't remember ever receiving a blush in my Glam Bag, but there's a first time for everything and I am l-o-v-i-n-g this one from Seraphine Botanicals. I'll admit, this Happy Hibiscus Blush looks dark, but it's actually a v natural-looking shade that works on a variety of skintones, and is buildable so you can control the intensity {or lack thereof} of the color. I'm super fair and it looks beautiful. What I love even more is the fact that it has subtle shimmer throughout, which makes you glow {and also allows you to use the product as an eyeshadow}. For those of you who love a natural product, this one is gluten-free, 100% cruelty-free, preservative-free, sustainably sourced, vegan, and organic, so it's all goodness. Would I repurchase? Yes, but I don't foresee needing to anytime soon as the size received here will definitely last.

NOTD: China Glaze Nail Lacquer in I'll Pink To That
Bright pinks rarely catch my eye, but I am so feeling I'll Pink To That!
The formula for this bright beauty is magnificent; and the color? Straight. Up. Summer. Though not a complete neon hue; I'll Pink To That does dry semi-matte, so you'll want to add a swipe or two of top coat for shine.

links à la mode: the IFB weekly roundup {june 16, 2016 edition}
I thought it was truly remarkable that IFB Bloggers captured Summer in all five senses this week–see, hear, touch, smell, taste. Wearing midi length skirts, paisley prints, bohemian-chic looks, bright cheery colours, and tried and true chambray. Watching movies and scanning the Tony Awards for the best looks. Reading about a Summer spent on the French Riviera. Creating a vision of pom-pom delight. Listening to music that you can dance the night away with. And cooking food to be savored with friends.
Cheers to having an ideal Summer.

NOTD: nails inc. Coconut Brights Gel Effect Collection in Portobello Terrace
Blue polishes have succeeded in becoming my number 1 fave shades {even trumping mint green hues}, so, of course, Portobello Terrace has captured my heart.
I'm loving the fact that Portobello Terrace has both that bright summer feel and pastel-y, muted spring vibe, making it ultra-wearable at anytime. The formula here was a bit thicker than other shades I've worked with from nails inc.; but can easily be combated by wiping off excess polish on the lip of the bottle before application.

NOTD: Probelle Nail Lacquer in In Or Out
This lovely popped up in my April ipsy Glam Bag, which could not have made me happier because nail polish is my favoritefavoritefavorite thing to find in my ipsy bags {big surprise, right?}.
In Or Out {not to be confused with In 'n' Out, which I think of every. single. time. I talk about this polish} is a gorgeous lavender pink creme creme reminiscent of one of my all-time favorite lacquers: Orly Frolic.
Formula here is incredible. It's thin, but not runny, and reaches opacity lightning fast. What's great about In Or Out is that it has the brightness to work for summer, coupled with the depth to keep it relevant in your collection through fall. So much love right now!
