Morgan Taylor Platinum Mini 4 Pack Swatches + Review

Holo may not be my one true love when it comes to nail shades; but I was looking for a little something something out of my comfort zone to switch things up a bit, and couldn't resist snagging the Morgan Taylor Platinum Mini 4 Pack. Yes, the shades are definitely more girly glam than my typical nail fare; but they are so. much. fun. for channeling your inner mermaid / unicorn / what have you! Prepare to be hypnotized!

Diamonds In The Sky is a Blue Holographic. So shine bright, tonight, you and I, we're beautiful like diamonds in the sky... Babes, I liiive for a good blue nail color, so I couldn't resist snagging this bad boy! Diamonds In The Sky is a gorgeous lemming of a shade that will standout in your nail collection! The holo effect picks up so perfectly in sunlight and legit makes it look like diamonds. Formula here was amazing. Yes, it's long-lasting; but the real standout point is that it applies seamlessly - swipe once, swipe twice, boom you're good to go! This is 2 coats.

It's Lit! is a Lilac Holographic. OMG babes I'm a unicorn! Okay, not really, but this color is giving me all of the unicorn vibes! It's Lit! is a brilliantly blinding lilac holographic that just. feels. magical. The lilac base mixed with the silver particles is just breathtaking; and that formula ain't too shabby either! Two easy peasy swipes and your tips are dazzling for days. Huzzah! This is 2 coats.

Liquid Bling is a Silver Holographic. Le sigh... is it too early to start thinking about NYE nail colors? No? Awesomeness, because this one is my top pick! If you love silver polishes, Liquid Bling is the crème de la crème because it shines, like. whoa. The formula is a liiiittle thin and sheer on coat one; but it builds to opacity beautifully with literally no muss or fuss. Highly recommend this beauty for all of your holiday 2018 gatherings! This is 3 coats.

Holo Lover! is a Pink Holographic. Holo {not to be confused with shimmer or metallic} isn't really my thang; but I was feeling unicorn and stardust vibes so I grabbed this beauty. Holo Lover! {gotta love that nod to SJP's Carrie Bradshaw} is a gawgeous pink with magical qualities - specifically, the way in which it catches the light, casting prismatic designs around you. Holo Lover! dries matte, so you def need a top coat to bring that holo to life. My one qualm? I had chips on two fingers in less than 24 hours requiring touch-ups. Kiiind of a pain. This is 2 coats.

This shade! Honestly, I've contemplated Somewhere Over he Rainbow Mountains over the past few days, and I still can't figure out whether I like it or loathe it; thus, I'm going to chalk it up to a love/hate relationship.

Somewhere Over the Rainbow Mountains is an interesting shade for fall - falling into the nude category; but being sliiightly darker, so it adds a bit of depth. I actually like it for autumn, as it has a cozy, café au lait feel to it; I'm just not sure if I like it on me. For those of you who are feeling it, however, the formula was primo - applying in a smooth, fluid fashion, and drying quickly. If basics are your thing, you'll dig this beauty!

Red is a nail color I tend to reach for only during the fall and winter months, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that OPI Pops was more of a coral-based red than a vixen red, making it perfect for summa-summa-summatime!

OPI Pops is like a vacation on your nails - the shade is vibrant and playful without being too OTT. And the formula! Fast-dry, long-wear, and necessary for your next beach outing, okuuurr?!

Not my typical color, I know, but I couldn't decide on a shade for the week, so I played Eeny, meeny, miny, moe {because clearly I'm 5} and landed on this little lady.

A-Rose At Dawn...Broke By Noon is a pink with a grown-up feel to it due to the metallic finish. The formula is flawless, serving up even coats and no brushstrokes in minutes; with a wear-time exceeding the 5 day mark. Would I wear it again? Honestly, no, because it's simply not my kind of color; but if it's a hue that you think is haute you need to grab it stat girlies!
