OPI Constellation Chic Nail Lacquer Trio Swatches + Review

Happy Thanksgiving Eve, ladies! I know you're all probably prepping for tomorrow's big feast {I myself currently have Pumpkin Cheesecake Cookies baking in the oven for my nephews, so I feel you}; but I wanted to take this time to introduce you to the incredibly gorgeous Constellation Chic Trio from OPI, because this is a holiday-exclusive set, and the holidays? They're basically in full-swing.

OPI was kind enough to send this trio to me a few weeks ago, and I'm telling you, you are going to love it - I know I do!

An Affair In Red Square is a Classic Red Shimmer. Meet my new holiday go-to. Seriously. Ladies, this color is everything, and this is coming from a person who is not usually a fan of reds. An Affair In Red Square has that decadent lit from within glow that makes it pure magic - and an absolute necessity for the holiday season. Formula is flawless. Perfect consistency, perfect application, perfect everything. This is 2 coats.

Mod About You is a Light Pink Creme. As unusual as it feels, pastel pinks have become popular inclusions in holiday nail sets, but Mod About You takes the cake for being the best of the best. The color instantly makes you look about ten times tanner than you actually are; while fitting in perfectly with the whole winter pastels trend that is a total mainstay in the fashion and beauty worlds. The formula is slightly thick, but very easy to work with and even out with minimal work. Highly recommend ladies!This is 1 1/2 coats.

By The Light Of The Moon is a Metallic Silver with Hexagonal Glitter. Despite my extreme aversion to silver/metallic/glittery nail colors, I really wanted to love this because it feels so holiday-perfect. Sadly, I just couldn't. I do think that the color is pretty, and the glitter chunks add a fun dimension {almost like sparkly dewdrops}; however, the glitter really makes the formula here a pain to work with, as they kind of have a mind of their own. Upside: opacity is on point. This is 1 coat.

NOTD: Ciaté Mini Paint Pot Nail Polish in Cha Cha Cha

Three coats of Ciaté Mini Paint Pot Nail Polish in Cha Cha Cha. Bright Orange Crelly.

I'm so not one for orange lacquers, but this one just felt right for November.

Cha Cha Cha is a gorgeous color perfect for summer but capable of making herself at home during the autumn months.

Though Cha Cha Cha is a v. bright color, I found that, even after three coats there was VNL, and the color applied very much like a jelly as opposed to a creme. This shade has been in my stash for over a year, so it could simply be that the color separated a bit, changing the texture. Regardless, I'm loving the color; and, despite the need for extra coats, I found the formula to be fantastically user-friendly! This is definitely a pretty one for Thanksgiving.

Two coats of AURORA Gel Effect Nail Lacquer in # 136 Inky Dinky. Dark Blurple Creme.

I love receiving nail polishes in my ipsy bags, so when I found # 136 Inky Dinky in my October Glam Bag you can bet your bottom dollar that I jumped for joy - and for good reason!

While #136 Inky Dinky looks like a violet creme in the bottle and online, I was v. surprised and pleased to find that the color is, in fact, a dark blurple creme that can almost be mistaken for black.

The formula was incredible here - it applied evenly and beautifully; and, even better, dries in no time flat! I will definitely be checking out more shades from this brand!

mark. Nailed It Gel Trend Gel Finish Mini Nail Lacquers - Swatches + Review

Another season, another dose of mark. Nailed It Trend Mini Nail Lacquers! This time we are all about those holiday vibes with a duo that is one part dark and decadent and one part light, airy, creamy, and dreamy {the ideal mix for winter, don't you think?}. I, for one, am loving these as a Stocking Stuffer idea because they are pint-sized perfection for the beauty loving babe in your life - and just too pretty to pass up. See for yourself!

Eggnog is an Off White Vanilla Creme. Be still my beating heart. You guys, this may be my favorite neutral polish for 2015 - and that's saying something. Eggnog is the most perfect representation of its namesake - and just feels like it was made for sweater weather. The formula here is thin, so it does require multiple coats {and a little waiting between each one}, but the end result is creamy goodness that will see you through the entire holiday season! This is 3 coats.

Sugarplum is a Deep Purple with Scattered Golden/Copper Shimmer. Isn't she a beaut? I've been going through a dark polish phase, so was instantly intrigued by Sugarplum. While the bottle gives it a look of a true holo, the true effect of the shade is more glitter bomb. Still a gorgeous shade, but a bit different than what I expected. The formula here is fantastic. With thick coats, you could definitely achieve OCW status; I, however, opted for thinner coats for these swatches, so two were necessary. This is 2 coats.
