Underneath Your Clothes Is...the Perfect {Bra} Fit!

“If you’re wearing lingerie that makes you feel glamorous, you’re halfway there to turning heads.”
~Elle Macpherson~

Truer words have never been spoken, Ms. Macpherson; but wearing glamorous lingerie is the second step in turning heads – the first is uncovering your bra size in order to find the perfect fit. A fit synonymous with that of a Herve Leger bandage dress – one that hugs your curves and accentuates your feminine physique in all the right places; one that becomes the BFF of your wardrobe essentials; and one that is, unfortunately, devastatingly difficult to find without devoting quite a bit of time to the task.

Confession Time: Only last year did I finally learn my true bra size. Up until then, I slowed my pace to avoid a lack of support from my bra du jour, and disposed of countless undergarments believing that they had stretched out in the wash after minimal wear. It was only once I tried a full cup size smaller that I realized that I had spent years sporting an unflattering piece that was far too large for my size. Luckily, I corrected my faux pas immediately, and have found that my clothes fit in a far more feminine manner; my posture has improved; and my confidence level has soared.

While I am now in bra heaven, I am actually in the minority, as the majority of women are, indeed, wearing the wrong bra size – and suffering the adverse affects of back ache, neck ache, and discomfort. Panache Lingerie, however, is here to save the day. They’re on a mission to help you find the perfect bra fit via their ultra-creative Bra Fit Challenge and incredibly helpful Fit Guide - both of which I highly recommend investigating for the girl who wants to feel fabulous in every sense of the word.

Tell me, lovers…what’s your bra fit horror story?

Thanks to Panache Lingerie for the picture.

I agree. It's very important to be properly fitted. I was properly fitted for the first time a few months ago and was shocked to discover my true size.
I love pretty bras. Nothing compares to wearing glam lingerie!

I guess there's no true horror story but I just have nothing to put into a bra...never have...

The problem I face is finding a bra in my size! Also, I hate the giant piece of foam that almost every pretty bra now contains. I love the look of Victoria Secret bras but unfortunately the really pretty, sexy ones have that horrible foam padding inserted in it. I don't need to push mine up or together yet but it seems only plain bras lack the extra foam.
I will have to check out Panache.

This is so true, I remember when I was younger one of my first jobs was working in a lingerie shop, many women did not know their true bar size. Yes, I love a bit of sexy luxury in my undergarments. :) xx

Oh, nice! It really is difficult to find your true bra size. I think I'm finally wearing the right one...or close to it, but it would be nice to have a more "professional" opinion, though I've had a couple different stores size me in the past.

My confession: I once wore a bra that I popped out of all the time and was annoying. I also believed I was the same size for 11 years until a week before my wedding, when I found out I went up a cup size.

My bra size is always changing, which is really annoying. I keep gaining weight. :(

But my mom had a similar revelation over the summer. She went to Victoria's Secret and after getting fitted, realized that she's been wearing the wrong bra size for years. She was amazed at the difference when she finally wore her real size. So, yeah, totally understand the importance!

I got a reduction at 19 but unfortunately have gained weight so my breasts grew too. I have bras in several sizes because of this and usually if I go through a significant weight change I get fitted again.

I have three of bali minimizer bras - they are so comfortable and look really good under knits. The band does not curl at all which I usually have trouble also. And the fit and comfort under the arms is very nice.

The rich sultry design reminds me of the Hot Pink bras that I have been using since I was a teen. They fit me so well because I'm flat chested and their X-Small ones are price friendly and just my size.
