NOTD: Julep Michelle

One coat of Julep Michelle. Navy Blue Crème.

Personal opinion… the nail polish world is seriously lacking in the navy blue department; but Julep’s Michelle definitely makes up for it {hello, one-coater here!}. While deep crimsons and plums oftentimes take on a gothic / vampy look that can be a bit rebellious, Michelle tends to veer more towards the sophisticated spectrum due to the dusty undertones of the color. I love pairing this shade with casual denim; but it is an incredibly smart, office-appropriate shade for those who want a color with more personality than, say, a soft pink.

P.S. Apologies that my hand looks deathly pale in these pictures; it was overcast out when I took them, and the result was...corpse-like. Ho hum...

Love your instagrams! I definitely have this color on my wish list now! I need to start finding my greens for March. Funny, it was March that got me started wearing nail polish last year in the first place.

It´s a very good news that you can wear a one-coater nail lacquer: easier to use!! This colour is so elegant!!

I LOVE this color on you Erika! The navy from my line last spring is still one of my faves (and one of the few I actually got to keep and refused to sell the last bottle, lol) - I think it looks amazing on every skin tone!

I like this navy blue--I actually don't have any polishes this color. Today I'm wearing a peach color called Ginger because it actually smells like ginger!

I love all of your nail instagram photos! I love navy polish. This week I'm wearing OPI's Mod About You with Pink Yet Lavender over it. I look like an 8 year old girl but I like it!

Ooo I really love this color - I might need some navy blue in my life... for my toes at least! My work-appropriate manis are always lame in comparison to your fun ones - currently wearing one of the OPI ballet collection soft shades though I have no idea which one it is!
