{muse of the moment} chanel paris-byzance pre-fall 2011 hair / makeup

Cleopatra VII. If there is a single individual whom I adore even more than Marie Antoinette, it is she. My affection for the Queen of the Nile, however, has virtually nothing to do with her skill for seduction {though it is, unquestionably, an admirable quality}; rather, it falls upon her beauty, brains {I highly recommend reading Cleopatra Confesses for more on that}, and penchant for head-turning accoutrements.

Traces of her ultra-glamorous guidance can be {obviously} seen in my accessory drawer {snakes, anyone?}, and daily makeup routine {hello winged liner and come-hither cat-eyes}; so the Chanel Paris-Byzance Pre-Fall 2011 Hair and Makeup? Let's just say that I steal a glance at photographs of it no less than six times per day. Really though... can you blame me? Filigree headbands, bohemian behives, a double dose of heavy liner {placed in a position so wrong it's right}...the empress-esque inspiration is enough to make anyone swoon. I dare you to try not to.

Wow, I wasn't sure I would like the eye makeup, but the more photos that I see of it, the more beautiful it looks! Maybe I should try this myself! :)

Interesting! It is quite daring. I wish I could wear headbands, but most of the time they slide off my head.

What a crazy look! I love it for the artistic quality but could never do it myself. Do you think you would ever wear it?
