january crush list!

My first crush list of 2014 in 3, 2, 1...

january

1. wildfox sleepwear Luxurious sleepwear is an absolute L-O-V-E of mine. It doesn't have to be silk or satin to be considered sumptuous; it merely has to be comfortable and, above all else, a perfect substitute for loungewear {i.e. something that you wouldn't mind answering the door for unexpected visitors in}. The new sleepwear from Wildfox fits those specifications to a T. My favorites are the Wildfox Dreamer Sleep Shirt in Pink / Black {the contrast piping is so classic} and the Wildfox Stay Up All Night & Sleep All Day PJ Set in Black which is playful and basically made for Girls Night In.

2. dainty love rings A few years back I was all about the cocktail rings; now it's daintier pieces that I'm always reaching for - especially in the ring department. I love how delicate, ethereal, and feminine they are; almost as if they were crafted by the hands of fairies. My current picks are pieces fashioned with love insignias, like Ariel Gordon Jewelry Love Knot Ring in Rose Gold, Jennifer Meyer Jewelry Mini Heart Ring in Gold, and Aurelie Bidermann Love Ring in Silver. Stunning, yes?

3. too faced 'haute chocolate' Too Faced has been a mainstay in my makeup life since mid-2013 when I first tried their eyeshadow palettes and fell head over heels in love. We're only in the first days of 2014, and already they have me swooning over their latest creation for Spring 2014...the Haute Chocolate Collection. YES. I have my eye on both the Too Faced The Chocolate Bar Eye Palette and Too Faced Candy Bar Palette & Phone Case - neutral shadow palettes scented with {brace yourselves} chocolate. The shadows are formulated with real cocoa powder, encased in boxes that look like chocolate bars, and smell like chocolate. I know.

4. textured sweaters Yes, they've got a little bit of a Muppet thing going on; but, I am seriously digging textured sweaters at the moment. They have this quality to them that instantly gives you a cozy, warm and fuzzy feeling {essential for the January chill, yes?}. I'm loving the Raga Textured Pullover in Black and Raga Textured Pullover in Aqua. The colors are spot on for the winter season; plus, the slightly cropped style keeps the plushy aesthetic from being too overwhelming.

5. combat boots Heeled boots are my shoe of choice; however, there is a whole lot of crushing going on when it comes to combat boots {I blame it on the influence of Katniss Everdeen and Tris Prior - the stars of The Hunger Games and Divergent, of course}. Their versatility - being both rugged and romantic {pair them with florals to see what I mean} is a total selling point for me. Not to mention that they're just...bad. My covets include the Timberland Earthkeepers® 'Savin Hill' Boot in Black and Steve Madden Leader Boot in Black.

Those rings are so cute. I've recently been sticking up on daintier rings that can stack up.

You know, I didn't think I was into combat boots either, but the more I see them, the more I want them. I blame Katniss and Tris as well.

Btw, I've read the Divergent series but I don't think the preview for the movie looks very good. Maybe that's just me.
