summer nail art collab w/ arielle of glitter vs world!

In all the years I've been blogging, I have done a handful of swaps with fellow bloggers, but have never participated in a collab. So when Arielle of Glitter VS World contacted me via Instagram inviting me to do one, I had to say yes!

We decided to do a Summer Nail Art Collab, which is so perfect because nail polish, duh! Check my creation out below, then head on over to Glitter VS World to see what Arielle came up with!

For my nail art {which was inspired by ProcrastiNails}, I opted to do something under the sea-ish, because a} I have a serious obsession with The Little Mermaid; and b} I live in SoCal, where 9 months of the year is spent worshiping sand, sun, and sea {true story}.

To create this look, I used two coats of Ciaté Mini Paint Pot Nail Polish in Apple & Custard, a Dusty Pastel Apple Green. I chose this shade because it reminded me of Crayola's Seafoam Green {my all-time favorite crayon color}, so it felt perfect for the ocean backdrop.

For the accent nail, I used Ciaté's Mini Paint Pot Nail Effects in Girl With A Pearl, which is 3D Pearl Nail Decals in a mix of sizes. I placed these on the accent nail using my e.l.f. Essential Slant Tweezer as the polish was drying, so that they would stick. The pearl accent is meant to represent bubbles in the water, which felt v Little Mermaid to me - especially set upon the seafoam shade.
