Designers are stealing the stage this week! We stockpiled this week’s roundup with links on links of new and inspiring fashion designers, from big names like Dean Caten to hopefuls still working their way through school. Gain insight on the future of fashion from interviews with the up and coming and learn about how designers are transforming fashion in a very positive way. One designer pursues sustainable fashion and others embrace bringing “real” people and body shapes to the catwalk.

Boots, leather handbags, plaid, leather jackets, and lace tops are being heavily crushed on this week. These pieces are some of the most solid Fall wardrobe staples, because they can be easily mixed and matched to create a variety of unique looks. Just as I live for fall fashion, I breathe fall beauty, so I was super excited to see what GLOSSYBOX had in store for me this month; and let me tell you, I was not disappointed.

For those of you who aren't familiar with GLOSSYBOX, it is a monthly beauty subscription service wherein you receive 5 deluxe size beauty products for $21 a month based on the personal beauty profile you fill out when you sign up.

Last month's box catered to fall fashion, and featured a selection of beauty products favored by fashion insiders; but this month? A fall refresh, if you will, complete with necessaries to keep you looking brilliant as the temps drop! Granted, this box included skin products galore {which I'm not usually crazy about}; but all of them were magnificent, and I am so excited to share them with you!

Serums are not typically my jam; but my sensitive skin tends to turn dry when the temps drop {due, in v large part, to my exposure to wind during early morning dog walks}, so I was excited to give this bad boy a try! First, let's talk fragrance. I am dying {in a totally good way} over the musky, Sandalwood scent - it is exactly what I love for fall. Even better, the product itself was a gem. I found that it really hydrated my skin with just a minimal amount of product; without leaving it feeling greasy or oily. I could see this really coming in handy as it gets colder; and would def consider purchasing the full-size!

OGX Beauty products have been a mainstay in my hair care routine for a few years now; but the Anti-Hair Fallout Niacin3 + Caffeine line is new to me, and I've got to say, I dig it! Like with many OGX products, you definitely have to be mindful of how much you use {too much of this one and your hair looks and feels greasy}; but when you take that into consideration, the results are fabulous. I spray juuust a bit at my roots after my hair dries in the morning, and not only does it add lift and volume, it really does reduce fallout. This was a full-size product, and I'm now contemplating purchasing the shampoo and conditioner from the line to see if using all 3 together heightens the stellar results!

Another full-size product FTW! I'm not super familiar with lip and cheek tints, so I found this one from Emite Make Up to feel kinda sorta weird when I initially tried it. It applies thick, feeling slightly like a gel {which was new to me}, but the end result was brilliant! This leaves the prettiest, just-ate-a-cherry-popsicle tint on your lips that lasts and lasts and lasts. And on cheeks? The most perfect flush that looks natural, and doesn't fade! I would highly recommend this to everyone, as it would fit a wide-range of skintones. Would I rebuy? Most definitely; but I don't see this running out anytime soon, so there probably won't be a need.

I am still getting accustomed to sheet masks {they kind of make me feel like Jason from Friday the 13th when I wear them}; but when I saw that the Masque Bar by Look Beauty Honey Face Sheet Mask featured honey extracts and was meant to nourish and hydrate the skin, I was excited to give it a shot. You guys! I'm in love! It's a fairly wet mask, which I liked as it adhered to my skin v well. I left it on for 20 to 30 minutes {during which I felt like I was at a spa}, then rinsed it away to find that my skin was feeling ridiculously soft and looking radiant and glowy! This right here is essential for at-home pampering sessions. I'm planning on buying a box for my sister for the holidays!

Out of everything in this month's box, I thought that this would be my least liked item, but I wound up adoring UNANI's Il-lluminate Milk Cleanser, and will totally re-buy once I finish this full-size bottle! This is a no-foam cleanser that has a thick formula punctuated with a light, fresh, clean aloe and cucumber fragrance that I L-O-V-E. After every. single. use. of this product my skin glowed beautifully and felt so fresh and so clean. Bonus: it doubles as a fantastic makeup remover!

I lovelovelove receiving new polish brands in my ipsy bags, so when Holy Fuchsia appeared in my September 2016 Glamazon bag I was beyond! Not only was it a color that would rock for fall; but it was also from a beauty brand that I had yet to try. Double win!

Holy Fuchsia doesn't fit my personal thoughts on what a fuchsia shade should be, as it leans more raisin berry than pink purple; but it sure makes a great hue for autumn!

I liked the formula here. It's fluid and smooth, but can look a bit thin on the nail, so you have to use an extra coat for complete opacity. What I didn't like was the smell. Maybe I got a bad bottle, as I didn't see anyone else mention this anywhere, but the smell is horrible - almost reminiscent of an extermination smell. I'm not sure what would cause that, but maybe it had something to do with the fact that my bottle was already open when I received it. Whatever the reason, I was able to almost entirely mask the smell with top coat, but it's still strange. Ho hum.

We also talk necessities – skincare routines, a basic day-to-day makeup look, turtlenecks for fall, and shoes to pack for travel and practicality. Fashion week is another big topic this week… but when is it not? “It’s fashion week somewhere” sure is a witty excuse to talk fashion, but it’s also a resounding truth. OPI Breakfast At Tiffany's 4PC Mini Set Swatches + Review

Last week I promised you that I would soon be reviewing OPI's Breakfast At Tiffany's 4PC Mini Set, and today...I deliver! This quartet was a surprise to me, as the colors in the bottles looked semi-unappealing; but on the nail? Let's just say it was a whole different story. See what I mean below!

Got the Mean Reds is a Classic Red Creme. Is she unique? Not a bit! But ooh ladies she is one smooth operator! Got the Mean Reds is the perfect classic color for your upcoming holiday soirees, and her formula will sweep you off your feet! It's smooth, it's creamy, and...it will stain your sidewalls {the skin surrounding your nail}, so be v careful during removal. This is 2 coats.

Rich & Brazilian is a Shimmer-Flecked Eggplant Satin. OMG OPI, you have so outdone yourself with this shade, I can't even! Rich & Brazilian is what I dream of when it comes to fall polishes. The color is rich and striking with a fabulush formula to boot! I imagine I'll be wearing this many, many times throughout the holiday season. If you love a touch of vamp this shade will thrill you. Trust. This is 2 coats.

Apartment for Two is a Fuchsia Raspberry Creme. The one time of year that raspberry hits my polish radar is during the fall months, so I was excited to see Apartment for Two in this collection! Like Got the Mean Reds, Apartment for Two has one of the best, creamiest formulas I have ever encountered, making for a super fast mani! If you favor shades like this, you def need this pretty in your life! This is 2 coats.

I Believe In Manicures is a Tiffany Blue Creme. Though not a bit holiday-esque {I'm thinking more summer vacay}, a Holly Golightly, Breakfast At Tiffany's nail lacquer collection would be dreadfully incomplete without a tiffany blue, and I Believe In Manicures is it. Though a bit thin; it builds up to a bright-yet-light blue that will serve as the perfect pop of color come winter! This is 3 coats.

november crush list!

1. funnel-neck knits While traditional turtlenecks will never be my thang, I'm seriously feeling funnel-neck knits, which feature a looser fit around the neck, and look supremely cozy. Free People's She's All That Pullover Sweater in BLACK is my fave, because it brings on all of the fall feels; I'm swoony over Pam & Gela's Zip Back Sweater in CREAM due to that fun zip detail in the back; and Joie's Viviam Sweater in DARK HEATHER GREY is giving it to me with those flirty fringe bits!

2. spicy shadows Ordinarily I am the biggest proponent of sparkly shadows in gilded hues; but for November I am all about spice in matte finishes. My personal covets? BURBERRY's Complete Eye Palette in DARK SPICE NO. 5 {tell me the shade range doesn't make you think of Thanksgiving?}; Hourglass' Modernist Eyeshadow Palette in EXPOSURE {the presentation and colors seriously slay!}; and KAT VON D's Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette {loving the versatility of the color selection}.

3. patchwork Given the 70s fashion revival that tends to strike every. single. autumn, I have fallen hard for patchwork pieces that feel fresh yet nostalgic, and literally reinvent your wardrobe. FRYE's Claude Knee High Patchwork Boot in BROWN MULTI SUEDE are like a work of art that would look amaze with chunky knits and dark denim; and Jerome Dreyfuss' Patchwork Popeye Bucket Bag in CHEVRON is my obsession, serving as the perfect accessory to complement monochromatic looks. Thoughts?

4. statement studs A few months back I went through a massive hoop phase; but right now I am all about studs that make a stellar statement! I love the edginess of BaubleBar's Fayme Ear Crawlers, The Lord of the Rings feel of the Olwen Ear Crawlers, and the classic vibe of the Mistletoe Ear Crawlers. Which one is your fave?

#SPBoxSwap: Swap with Dean of Mrs. AOK!

Back in July I took part in the #SPBoxSwap {Sweet Progress Summer Box Swap} hosted by Ashley of Happy. Pretty. Sweet. and Dean of Mrs. AOK, and had the absolute best time; so when I heard that they were hosting another for fall {my favorite season!}, I literally signed up immediately.

As I said, pure. autumn. goodness. - exactly what I was expecting when I read Dean's note saying that she was going for a cozy fall day theme. The cat bits were literally made for me. I want to live in the knee-high socks - which feature cats, tigers, and lions {with a 3D-like mane!}; and the coloring bookmarks already came in handy yesterday afternoon when I came home from work beat, and wanted to do nothing but whip out those colored pencils and play creative. Which I did for a few hours - including time spent doodling in my new journal! I even added a few fall stickers from the pretty sheet included!

Though I am so not a foodie, some of my favorite things in this box were, indeed, the treats. My absolute favorite piece, tbh, is the Hello Pumpkin Mug which, I believe, was handwritten by Dean {you have the most fabulous writing btw!}.

My nephew was over when I opened my box, and he swiped two chocolates from me the second he saw them; but I managed to salvage a few for myself, and let me just say that they are incredible! The Pumpkin Spice Caramel Squares were my favorite - the flavor is just so quintessentially fall! And the coffees? I haven't had a chance to try them yet; but I am super excited to do so - in fact, that White Chocolate Mocha is calling my name right now!

You all know how I feel about nail polish, and Dean did something that no one has achieved yet - she gifted me with a nail polish shade that I don't have; and it's a color that I've coveted for ages. Give yourself a huge pat on the back for that achievement girly! I've been searching for a mauve polish for the fall months {it's the perfect color to pair with oversized sweaters}, and now I finally have one! Expect swatches v soon!

{what's in my} ipsy october 2016 glam bag!

My October Glam Bag is heeeere, and all I can say is Valfre did such a bomb job on this ipsy bag - definitely my all-time fave in terms of illustrations; and that ghost zipper pull is. the. cutest!

For those of you who are unfamiliar with ipsy, it is a beauty subscription service that costs $10 per month {awesome deal IMO}, and consists of a collectible makeup bag {can also double as a clutch} along with 5 beauty samples that are customized to your personal beauty profile {which you can change/update at anytime}. I love getting subscription boxes, but don't have a ton of extra cash to spare, so I find ipsy to be the best value as each month's bags are adorable, the products are of fantastic quality, and their stylists are top-notch {and some of my fave beauty bloggers}. That being said, let's get to the bag!

While I'm not supercalifragifeeling the cleansing oil or face cream; I am dyiiing over the Adesse New York Organic Infused Liquid Chrome Nail Polish in GRAND CENTRAL {full-size boos!}.

October's theme was BLACK MAGIC {so necessary for the month featuring All Hallows Eve!}. Inside my bag was a full size Adesse New York Organic Infused Liquid Chrome Nail Polish in GRAND CENTRAL, full size essence cosmetics Superfine Eyeliner Pen Waterproof in BLACK, mini size trèStiQue Matte Lip Crayon in BELIZE BORDEAUX, sample size TATCHA Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, and sample size ZIAJA Natural Olive Cream Light Formula.

Polish in my bag two months in a row FTW boos! I love a duochrome for fall, and Adesse New York's Organic Infused Liquid Chrome Nail Polish in GRAND CENTRAL does not disappoint. Grand Central is v reminiscent of OPI's 2013 Peace & Love & OPI, featuring a multifaceted holographic shift of sage and eggplant that is positively yum to look at. Like most duochromes, the formula here is thin, but builds to opacity with a trio of easy to apply coats. This isn't a color that I would ordinarily select for myself; but I did enjoy it for a change from my typical cremes.

I have v little experience with cleansing oils, so I didn't know what to expect when I tried TATCHA's Pure One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, but I was pleasantly surprised. I used this to remove makeup {which I ordinarily do using a combination of a Neutrogena Mask Wash and Vaseline}, and found that it removed my eye makeup {including a waterproof mascara} in mere moments. While that was impressive, what I think this product is really phenomenal at is hydrating dry skin, so it will def come in handy during the colder months. Out of every face product I have received since subscribing, I would say that this is the only one that I would consider purchasing the full-size of.

If the title of this blog didn't tip you off, I'm a massive fan of cat eyes, and rarely leave the house without them myself; so finding essence cosmetics' Superfine Eyeliner Pen Waterproof in BLACK in my bag this month was such a brilliant treat! I love eyeliner pens for their ease of control, and this one gave me exactly that, allowing me to create a sharp, pointy wing without difficulty. The downside, however, is that the color is too faint, making it necessary to retrace my lines multiple times for a rich, black hue. Womp womp. It's still a great one to try for $2.99; but I wouldn't rebuy.

While nude lips are my one true love year-round; I do occasionally go for a darker pout for fall; and trèStiQue's Matte Lip Crayon in BELIZE BORDEAUX looked lush for October! TBH, I was expecting a more wine-toned hue when I heard the name of this one; but, in reality, it wears more like a pink/fuchsia-based cherry - beautiful to look at, and v wearable on a multitude of skintones; but not really autumn-esque. I did enjoy the application {smooth and not patchy}, and wear-time; but the color didn't suit me. Additionally, at $28 for the full-size, I'm not impressed, as this is nearly identical to e.l.f.'s Matte Lip Color, which retails for just $3.00!

Moisturizers are not a part of my skin routine, as I'm really not comfortable with using too many face products for risk of breakout. That said, I read a lot of great things about ZIAJA Natural Olive Cream Light Formula prior to trying it, so I was kind of excited about giving it a whirl. I don't like heavy face products, so I found that this one was soothing to use, as it's v lightweight and feels hydrating without making your skin feel oily. While my experience with this product was a good one; I can honestly say that I would never buy a full-size version, as I don't need a product like this.
