Smitten Saturday

Spotted At Chateau Marmont…because the only thing more important than the Cassandra Naho’ Tassel Flap Leather Hobo dangling from the crook of your arm, is the tres chic reading material found within its floppy evergreen folds. Lauren Weisberger’s Last Night at Chateau Marmont is just that. Two parts Sex and the City, one part The First Wives Club. Lesson learned? Prepare yourself for an irresistible rendezvous you’ll never want to end.

Clutch-22…because you may be more shopaholic than bookworm, but that’s no reason to allow your brainy side to take a backseat to your beauty; simply wear it loud and proud upon your person a la Kate Spade’s Book of the Month Clutch. Cleverly designed to take on the appearance of one of three classics – Oscar Wilde’s The Importance of Being Earnest, Charles Dickens’ Great Expectations, or, my personal favorite, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s The Great Gatsby - each minute carryall harbors the ability to house your essentials; while adding a truly classic touch to your look du jour. Which title will you be adding to your library of accessories, my loves?

Champagne Wishes and Marshmallow Dreams…because the only surefire way to guarantee sweet dreams come bedtime is with the assistance of a savory treat devoured right before you drift off to dreamland. Let’s be honest darlings, shall we? Not any sweet will do. One needs something that is avant-garde yet old-fashioned; familiar yet fabulous; a guilty pleasure yet full of glamour with every bite. Which is precisely the things that Dipped Marshmallows provide to the foodie within. Three large marshmallows are placed on a stick kabob style then submerged in your choice of dark chocolate, milk chocolate, or white ribbon. What flavor will you be indulging in this evening, dolls?

Wear Your Art…because locking one’s art away in a living room – regardless of how luxurious it may be – is an absolute injustice to the creator. A more satisfactory way for one to wow the world with their collection of masterpieces is merely by wearing them in the form of lavish, Hand-Painted Silk Scarves. Toss the Pink Mirage piece over your shoulders to add a splash of understated color to your basic James Perse Brushed Jersey Tank; wrap Very Pink Rain 4 around the handle of your Marc by Marc Jacobs Saddlery Lou Lou Satchel for instantaneous glamour and personality; or channel Hermes by weaving Sun Music through a tightly-wound side braid. How will you wear your art, kitty cats?

All That Glitters…because a true fashionista knows the number one way to sparkle is by helping those in need. With the LeSportsac Shimmery Messenger one can add a little twinkle to her handbag collection; whilst ensuring that school-age children are receiving the nutrition required to keep them healthy. Twenty-percent of all proceeds collected from the sparkling stunner will benefit Blessings In A Backpack, a charity which sends low-income children home with a backpack filled with enough food to feed them for the weekend. Go on darlings; get your shine on!

What were you smitten with this week?

Fashionably yours!

This is such a great and fashionable post, I need to work my way through the links :)

Hope you have a great weekend!

To answer your question about the giveaway: The shop's grand opening is in September, but the website is already set up (just nothing for sale on it yet) I checked all the links to make sure they worked. When she asks readers to list their favorite vintage finds, I think she just means in general.

Thanks so much for checking it out!

Its so nice you mentioned blessings in a backpack - they are a wonderful organization. Their work is very big over here in some of the metro areas and once you here about some of the home-lives these kids go to you realize how necessary this program is. Fantastic post Erika! Hope your having a lovely weekend :)

Erika, I'm afraid you've made me a little bit miserable with the inclusion of the Book of the Month clutch. I'm not sure my life can be happy without a Great Gatsby clutch anymore! I might have to start putting my pennis into a mason jar to save up for this one . . .

The Great Gatsby! Aw, I had to read that this year. I never even realized it's prominence in today's culture. BUT NOW I GET ALL THESE CULTURAL REFERENCES SO I FEEL ALL AWESOME AND SUCH. (Although I think I've over analyzed that book and it's symbolism and what not.)

AND MMM DIPPED MARSHMALLOWS. Mmmm. (That is all.)
