Sunday Steals: James Perse Knit Dress for Less

Kitty cats, in the left corner take a peek at James Perse’s pretty Knit Dress; now, if you’ll cast your kohl-rimmed peepers to the right, prepare yourself to swoon over ASOS’ blissful Body-Conscious Dress with Scoop Neck in Black.

Though the ambrosial ASOS piece is ever so slightly more fitted than its higher-priced counterpart; for just $34.48, in comparison to the $135.00 required to add the James Perse gem to one’s wardrobe, it is le quintessential way for the frugalista to scoop up high-fashion style on a budget – and still have enough spare change to pick up not one, not two, but all three stellar shades (Black, Red, and Purple)!

What’s your stand, lovers…will you splurge, or save?

Fashionably yours!

Thanks to Nordstrom and ASOS for the pictures.

The ASOS dress is to die for, if I had the figure to pull that off. Hope you have a happy Sunday.

That ASOS dress is awesome! I love that company! It was a great find. I can't even tell the differences between the two.

You can never have enough black dresses! I love the ASOS one. It looks more flattering.

Maybe it;'s the model, but the Asos dress looks better to me!

I love this dress. I actually own it! I got mine from h&M and I wear it as a top a lot cuz it is a bit short for work. Both dresses are great on the photos -- but I agree with Julia, the ASOS model looks better in it.

It looks like a great basic. You could even pair it with longer skirts.

Love that dress, and price! xo

Save please! I would need to try it on though, as some body con dresses focus on my mid section in a not so adorable way...

Great little black dress finds, Erika! I'd definitely save some money and go for the ASOS one. It seems like the fit is a little better on that one.

I'll bee a cheapskate as usual. But I like the top part of the JP dress better, and the bottom part of the ASO'S dress best. Too bad they're not using the same model for purrfect comparison.

For such a basic, I'll definitely go ASOS!
