I've been in the throes of a love affair with floppy fedoras since Gossip Girl Season One when the perfectly undone Serena van der Woodsen {aka Blake Lively} paired an oversized burgundy one alongside a vintage ensemble the likes of which would make Almost Famous' Penny Lane swoon.

They're the simplest way to add a pop of effortless bohemia to your look du jour; and feel as essential to the fall season as the arrival of Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks and the changing colors of the autumn leaves.
