december crush list!

You know the drill...here's a glimpse at a few of the things
I'm crushing on for December.

1. horn necklaces Long or short pendant necklaces are the simplest {yet seriously stunning} way to add personality to basic, un-embellished slouchy sweaters {total fall and winter staple, yes?}. This season I'm loving horn necklaces. They're a little bit edgy, a little bit bohemian, and super sophisticated and chic. Topping my list are the Adia Kibur Horn Necklace in Gold, Michael Kors Pave Tortoise Horn Pendant Necklace in Tortoise Gold, Kenneth Jay Lane Gold Horn Necklace in Gold, and Michael Kors Pave Horn Pendant Necklace in Gold / Clear.

2. thigh-highs Blame it on my love of over the knee boots, but one of my favorite styles is a thigh-high sock layered underneath a classic riding or motorcycle boot {so the sock peeks up over the top of the shaft}. Style Free People's Snowflake Ribbed Thigh High Socks in Black Combo {also available in Pink Combo} alongside black skinny jeans and a black/white marled chunky knit sweater; or pair Free People's 'Mixed Media' Thigh High Socks in Black Combo {also available in Mint Combo} with a simple skater skirt and oversized cardi. Such a playful aesthetic!

3. {holiday} liquid sand I fell in love with OPI's Liquid Sand formula via The Bond Girls Mini Collection earlier this year. For the holidays I'm digging the latest releases in the Mariah Carey collection which range from naughty to nice. My three favorite shades are Kiss Me At Midnight {a silver-laced cobalt blue that would be gorgeous for New Year's} and Emotions {a chic coal black} from the OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand Mini 3 PC - Dark Collection, and Baby Please Come Home {a lilac-toned charcoal gray} from the OPI Mariah Carey Liquid Sand Mini 3 PC - Light Collection.

4. fringe embellishments Fringe is a total throwback embellishment that will forever be in fashion. It adds the perfect dash of bohemia, free spirit, free love, Penny Lane, I'm-with-the-band vibe to your wardrobe without being too retro. I love it as a trim on handbags, boots, and sweaters. My current pick? The Free People Fringe Cardigan in Red Multi Combo {also available in Light Neutral Combo}. Layer it over a slinky slip dress or couple it with denim - so cozy.

5. block heel booties Classic. That is the number one way to describe block heel booties. I've seen them worn off the runway by Karlie Kloss during Fashion Week and they've popped up time and time again in collections by Rachel Zoe and KORS Michael Kors. My top pick is the Sole Society Kaila Block Heel Bootie in Black and Amaretto {also available in Ash}. It's so high fashion yet ridiculously affordable {so you can buy it in multiple colors - hint hint}.
