april crush list!

These are a few of my favorite things...for April!

1. turquoise jewelry I tend to enter and exit relationships with turquoise jewelry every few months. Given the fact that summer is approaching, we're in serious relationship status, and growing stronger by the day - especially now that I've spotted Jacquie Aiche's JA Teardrop Y Necklace in Turquoise / Gold, Pamela Love's Solar Hand Piece in Antique Silver / Turquoise, and MELINDA MARIA's Courtney Ring in Gold / Turquoise / White. Need, want, love!

2. bustier crop tops Dolce & Gabbana put bustier crop tops on my radar a few years back; so I am thrilled to see them popping up so frequently this season {at completely affordable pricepoints}. If you follow me on Instagram @cateyesandskinnyjeans, you likely know that I recently picked up Forever 21's Denim Darling Floral Bustier in Blue / Red {and am head over heels for it}. Now I'm coveting Forever 21's Voyager Bustier in Black / Cream, and Dirty Ballerina's Floral Bralette in Chambray Floral. I love that you can wear them with high-waisted bottoms or toss a cardi on top and pair them with low-rise skinnies {my preferred styling method}.

3. lilac lips It sounds strange, but it is absolutely amazing. I've been wearing Maybelline's Color Sensational Color Whisper Lipcolor in Oh La Lilac with a peachy/orange cheek {Milani Baked Powder Blush in Luminoso 05} every. single. day for weeks, and I never tire of the combo. It's bright, fun, and playful for spring; but also very easy to wear {no OTT vibes}. Next up on my to-try list...BUXOM's Buxom® Full-On™ Lip Cream in Lavender Cosmo!

4. gladiator sandals Truth? Gladiator sandals have been on my loathe list since I first spotted them; but...I've seen these knee-high versions styled amazingly well lately, and am kinda / sorta coveting a pair. Rachel Zoe's Mason Gladiator Sandals in Caramel are my fave because of the chunky, stacked heel; while ZiGi girl's 'Jae' Sandal in Tan are a close runner-up due to their affordability and summer-made color.

5. heart-shaped sunglasses Baby put on heart shaped sunglasses..." Seriously though...how many people have gone out and bought heart-shaped sunglasses after hearing those Lana Del Rey lyrics? So perfect. I love the kitschy cute whimsical touch they add to whatever you happen to be wearing; thus the reason why I want to stock up. On my shopping list? BP.'s 'Luv' Tortoiseshell Heart Sunglasses in Tortoise, and BP.'s Heart Shaped Sunglasses in Gold / Brown. Cuteness!
