{what's in my} ipsy june 2016 glam bag!

Since subscribing to ipsy a little over a year ago, I have always elected to preview my bag {i.e. view the contents via e-mail before it arrives in the mail}. This is the first month that I decided not to preview my bag, and I loved the element of surprise during unbagging - definitely going to keep this trend up for my future ipsy bags.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with ipsy, it is a beauty subscription service that costs $10 per month {awesome deal IMO}, and consists of a collectible makeup bag {can also double as a clutch} along with 5 beauty samples that are customized to your personal beauty profile {which you can change/update at anytime}. I love getting subscription boxes, but don't have a ton of extra cash to spare, so I find ipsy to be the best value as each month's bags are adorable, the products are of fantastic quality, and their stylists are top-notch {and some of my fave beauty bloggers}. That being said, let's get to the bag!

June's theme was REBEL REBEL {misfits, rule breakers, badass babes, oh my!}. Inside my bag was a mini Urban Decay Eyeshadow in LOUNGE, Delectable by Cake Beauty Everything Balm, Formula X The Colors Nail Polish in WINGWOMAN, Hey Honey 24Seven Day & Night Revitalizing Cream, and Seraphine Botanicals Happy Hibiscus Blush.

Admittedly, I was hoping to receive Urban Decay's Fireball in my bag this month, but I have got to say that Lounge is gorgeous! The pigmentation is beyond {this is one swipe with no primer}, and the shade shift effect from green to a blackened plummy red is just stunning. Lounge actually reminds me a bit of ColourPop's Bae {one of my fave shades for fall} due to the shift effect, but Lounge leans more green; whereas Bae is more purple-y. Definitely turning to Lounge for my next night out, as it's perfect for a smoky eye! Will I be re-purchasing? I'm on the fence. Though not a dupe of Bae, it's definitely similar enough to opt for ColourPop's $5 offering, as opposed to UD's $18 Lounge.

I'm not gonne lie, I was a bit mystified by the Everything Balm from Delectable by Cake Beauty. The sheer pink glossy appearance def threw me. Is it a lip balm? Is it for skin? Turns out, the name is fairly telling of its uses - you can use it for everything. I've mainly been using it on my lips for hydration and it. is. bomb. It's lightweight and non-greasy {woot!}, and has that versatility thing going for it. I used it on my cuticles a few days ago, and it was so nourishing, so I thought I'd mix it with a glitter shadow pigment for my eyes, and voila - totally gorgeous #EOTD. It's also amaze at moisturizing dry spots {i.e. elbows and knees}. Would I repurchase? Probably not, as the price is a bit steep for such a small tube, and I can get similar results from Vaseline; but if money weren't an option I'd definitely be stocking up on more!

I'm a massive fan of Formula X polishes, so Wingwoman was a fab treat! Though the shade looks red in the bottle; on the nail it has just the slightest hint of pinky undertone that makes an otherwise fall / winter hue feel fresh for summer. Like virtually all Formula X polishes, Wingwoman featured a fab, easy to use formula that fell just shy of OCW territory. Would I repurchase? This particular shade, no {it's just not my typical style}; but I will definitely be grabbing other colors from the line.

I feel like face creams will forever be my least-liked product in Glam Bags, and it has nothing to do with the products themselves; it's merely not a product category that I use often. I've received Hey Honey products in my bags in the past, but the 24Seven Day & Night Revitalizing Cream is new to me. This is to be used on your face, neck, or under the eyes - I used it on the latter. The texture initially feels tacky, but it smooths easily, and really adds radiance to the skin when used over a period of time. Did I mention it smells amazing? Would I repurchase? No, as I don't think I'd get a lot of use out of it. But for those who use day and/or night creams I think this would be a worthy investment.

I can't remember ever receiving a blush in my Glam Bag, but there's a first time for everything and I am l-o-v-i-n-g this one from Seraphine Botanicals. I'll admit, this Happy Hibiscus Blush looks dark, but it's actually a v natural-looking shade that works on a variety of skintones, and is buildable so you can control the intensity {or lack thereof} of the color. I'm super fair and it looks beautiful. What I love even more is the fact that it has subtle shimmer throughout, which makes you glow {and also allows you to use the product as an eyeshadow}. For those of you who love a natural product, this one is gluten-free, 100% cruelty-free, preservative-free, sustainably sourced, vegan, and organic, so it's all goodness. Would I repurchase? Yes, but I don't foresee needing to anytime soon as the size received here will definitely last.

Wow, nice haul! The UD eyeshadow is so insanely pigmented! I love the nail shade as well - classic, but a little brighter than usual.
