OPI Pop Culture Nail Lacquer Collection Mini 4-Pack Swatches + Review

Babes, I was bummed when textured polishes went bye bye, so imagine my excitement when I came across OPI's Pop Culture Nail Lacquer Collection Mini 4-Pack! Initially I thought it was paying homage to Andy Warhol and his brights {which it is}; but it's also a reference to the finish...a playful bubbly that pops! Let's take a peek at the poppin' pretties, shall we?

Days of Pop is a Bubbly Blue Texture. Bright blue polishes always get me, so I had to take this bad boy home! Color-wise, Days of Pop is everything you want for the summer {and 4th of July!}. It's playful and fun; and the bubbly texture coupled with the ocean blue shade give it a mermaid-esque feel. My one qualm: you need a lot of coats to keep VNL at bay. Granted, this is ultra-fast dry; the fact that you have to apply coat after coat after coat can become a little tiring. Not a deal-breaker; but something to keep in mind. This is 4 coats.

Pink Bubbly is a Hot Pink Texture. I've been loving pinks lately, so Pink Bubbly was calling my name, and it. is. perf. This shade is the epitome of girly, and so much fun for the warmer months! The bubbly finish makes painting your nails effortless; and the fact that it dries lightning fast is amaze! Additional bonus: no top coat required. Natch! This is 2 coats.

OPI Pops is a Coral Red Texture. Red is a nail color I tend to reach for only during the fall and winter months, so I was pleasantly surprised to find that OPI Pops was more of a coral-based red than a vixen red, making it perfect for summa-summa-summatime! OPI Pops is like a vacation on your nails - the shade is vibrant and playful without being too OTT. And the formula! Fast-dry, long-wear, and necessary for your next beach outing, okuuurr?! This is 2 coats.

Pop Star is a Poppin' Purple Texture. Purple, purple, purple! I do love a good purple when the temps start to drop; and this bad boy is a double beauty whammy due to the color + that playful pop texture! Pop Star is a great transitional shade - being light enough for those last days of summer, yet dark enough for those first days of autumn. On the nail there's a subtle blue holographic shift; however, it's not visible in photos {womp womp}; nevertheless, the red undertones make it complementary for everyone! This one applies v sheer; but builds beautifully, and has insane staying power. Dig it! This is 3 coats.
