Tightwad Tuesday: J Brand Low Rise Capri Legging for Less

Lovers, to the left you will find J Brand’s blissful Low Rise Capri Legging in White; to the right take a gander at le GAP’s classy Cropped Legging Jeans in White.

Though the glorious GAP pair are ever so slightly longer in length than the J Brand; for a mere $59.50, in comparison to the $158.00 needed to scoop up a pair of the luscious Low Rise Capri Legging, they are a super steal for the frugalista, as they feature a full five-pocket construction (whereas J. Brand’s beauties feature faux front pockets), and leave the budget babe with enough cash to spare to scoop up one or all five of the fabulous colors available (white, ecru, cinnabar red, true black, and gray)!

Are you having a tightwad moment darlings, or are you plagued with a craving to splurge?

Fashionably yours!

Definitely the Gap. I like the length better, and what great colors. The ecru and gray are really nice too.

In theory I like the GAP ones better. But lately they've been getting crappy in their fit.

Oooooh heeeey! How did you know I've been needing some skinny white pants?!? I just bought a pair of Seven for All Mankind white jeggings, but I about had to cut off half my thigh to get them on. (Any jeggings that I have to jump up and down and wiggle to get them on are probably out of the question. My butt DID look really good though....) So I'm returning them--those GAP ones look much cuter!

fun fact of the day: guys love girls in white pants. they say girls always have the best butts who wear white pants!

I just really like the Gap version. They're longer so they could pass for pencil jeans and the white is so much more muted than the neon white that the J. Brand is trying to pull off. Hope you have a good Tuesday, E.

So into white and also bright colored jeans right now! This time I'd go w/Gap - love the length and fit!

Haha, the concept of wearing white jeans is a bit daunting to me; I generally get my clothing fussed up as it is. Definitely going with GAP on this one!

StyleIDnet said...

Ohhh, I love GAP so even if they would cost more than the J Brand I will still get them.

If I dare wear white capris again, the Gap would be the pair for me :)

Haute World said...

Definitely the GAP. White capris aren't something that will last long regardless of the quality. And I'm sure if the length is an issue, shortening the GAP ones won't cost much more. Great find!

I would love to get these in the different colors. Oh man, I have a coupon for Gap and I just might now how to use it.

i wish i could wear these but my latin body (behind) never allows me to... ha!

Could never pull off white pants...but they are sexy!! :) Thanks for the birthday wishes love! Enjoy your day.

White pants aren't for me, but another great comparison - I tend to splurge on jeans in general though!! x

i like the length of the GAP ones better, so much more flattering..

Most definitely Gap although I'm not much of a white capri person. White makes me look heavier most of thetimes ! :(

Really, really like the GAP pair...but...I'm a designer jeans addict and therefore must defer to JBrand!

i really love the Gap pair a lot more. the fact that they are a bit longer and the five pockets is what did it for me.

I like the length of the Gap ones better, so I would choose the cheaper one!

White pants? Not a big fan here. So I guess I have to say no for both brands.

I clock in just under 5'2 and appreciate anything that gives the allusion of height. I think the GAP pants are the way to go.
