her fashion box monthly subscription box review

I love a monthly subscription box {seriously now, who doesn't?}; so when Chelsea contacted me about the Australian-based Her Fashion Box, I was intrigued - and insanely eager to try it out.

Her Fashion Box uses customization to determine whether you are Trendy, Classic, or Feminine; they then tailor a monthly box for each subscriber, which features 4 - 5 beauty products and 3 fashion accessories.

The subscription fee is $39.95 per month {you can cancel at any time} and includes over $110 in products in each box. If $39.95 is too steep of a price, they offer The Boxette for $24.95 a month {which includes 2 fashion accessories + 2 beauty products. Today I am reviewing the full-size Her Fashion Box.

The photograph shown at the top of this post is an example of what your monthly box may contain. Mine featured the above.

Her Fashion Box Tiger Scarf / Shawl | Her Fashion Box Rose Gold ID Bracelet | Her Fashion Box Black and Gold Wrap Bracelet | Her Fashion Box Eyelash Curler | Her Fashion Box Clear with Metallic Trim Zippered Makeup Bag | Urban Rituelle Mango Milk Soothing Body Balm 1.5 fl oz {$5.80} | ModelCo Gel Eyeliner {$22.00} | Ulta3 Moisturizing Lipstick in Cherry Wine {$2.95}

As a self-professed cat lady, I am enamored with the tiger scarf / shawl - it immediately catches the eye, and really adds a special touch to basic blacks. The Rose Gold ID Bracelet and Black and Gold Chain Wrap Bracelet are beautiful jewelry pieces. What I love about them is that they are both adjustable - something I always seek when purchasing bracelets as I have a very, very, very small wrist. While I don't personally use eyelash curlers {my mom had a bad experience with one as a teenager}; I do love the looks of this one, and will keep it around - even if only for show. The handles are a neon orange that are excellent for gripping.

The beauty product aspect of my box was my favorite of all. I am known for my refusal to use anything but a clear bag for my makeup; so the fact that the one included with my box was Clear with Metallic Trim thrilled me to no end - that extra detailing put it in a class of it's own. Seriously.

I never leave the house without black eyeliner; and, given my excessive use of acetone nail polish removers, I constantly require a hardworking body lotion - thus, I am very excited to try both the Urban Rituelle Mango Milk Soothing Body Balm 1.5 fl oz and ModelCo Gel Eyeliner. The Ulta3 Moisturizing Lipstick in Cherry Wine, however, will be going to my sister, as she is the red lipstick wearer of the family.

FINAL THOUGHTS:
One of my pet peeves about the products contained within my Her Fashion Box is the fact that almost all of the products are no-name brands that simply say Her Fashion Box. If you remember my giuliana rancic fab fit fun {fff} vip fall box review last December; you may recall that I was able to price all of the products to determine that I had, indeed, received over $187.00 in products. You can't do that with Her Fashion Box, as so many of the products are their own, with no available pricing. Maybe this won't bother some subscribers; but if I'm paying $39.95 per month, I'd like to know the value of the contents of my box. Just saying. Nevertheless, I do love what I received.

Would you try Her Fashion Box?

It definitely looks like a fun find to have once a month! Some cool stuff you do have in that month's issue. Great review!

I understand what you mean about the branding. The bracelet is quite lovely and I do like eyelash curlers, wouldn't mind one of those. It was great hearing from you...Happy Friday Dear!

That's too bad about the products. I would expect at that price point for it to be all brand names at least. I have never had this box but I've heard of it through a friend. Thanks for the review. :)

I agree with your last statement; I'd like to be able to price my items as well to see that you're really getting a deal. I do like that the box has two sizes for two prices though.
