Essie Wrapped in Color Cashmere Matte Trio Swatches + Review

I was supposed to be on a no beauty buy after the holidays, but when I spotted the Essie Cashmere Nail Polish Collection at Ulta I kind of had to put it off for a few weeks. I mean, how often do you find satin matte nail polishes? It's a fairly rare occurrence; thus, I snatched both trios up immediately. Let's just say...best. decision. ever. Today I'm sharing the Wrapped In Color Trio with you; next week, you'll be seeing The New Neutrals trio. Check out the prettiness!

Coat Couture is a Smoky Mauve-Meets-Gray with Blue/Green Micro-Iridescence. Hello lover... Talk about a show-stopper! Coat Couture is my hands-down fave from this trio - I put it on and just sighed at its prettiness. Seriously. The formula here is brilliant! I almost achieved one-coat wonder status, but my coats were slightly too thin, so I had to add a second {with thick coats, you could definitely reach opacity in one coat}. As a matte/satin formula, this dries fast, so you want to polish quickly. This is 2 coats.

Just Stitched is a Pale Baby Pink with Blue Micro-Iridescence. If you love girly shades, Just Stitched should be at the top of your polish must-buy list. It's one of those super sweet, saccharine hues that pairs perfectly with cream-colored sweaters, and makes you feel all sorts of feminine. The blue micro-iridescence didn't want to show up for me when I was taking these pictures; but trust me...it's there, and it's brilliant! As a paler shade, this one required an extra coat to reach opacity - no big, but worth mentioning. This is 3 coats.

All Eyes On Nudes is a Creamy Nude with Rose Undertones. Yes, I know it looks shiny in these pictures, but trust me...it's matte {the shininess is the result of an overdose of cuticle oil}. I usually opt for pinky nudes so as not to look like I spilled foundation on my nails; but, surprisingly, I like this one. The color is perfect for those days when you want a nearly naked nail look {and we all have those}. The formula here was a little testy; but nothing that thinner coats won't quell. This is 2 coats {use 3 thin coats for better results}.

AVAILABILITY: Ulta for the full-size trio set {Sold Out}; Ulta, mass market merchandisers, drugstores, and department stores for individual bottles.

PRICE: $24.50 for the trio {Sold Out}; or buy individual bottles separately for $8.50 each.

I...don't even understand how science let something be satin *and* matte. Wizards over at Essie man, wizards.

Hmmm. The coat couture or the just stitched?
