February 13, 2015 – NYC – Yesterday, OPI rocked New York Fashion Week with Marissa Webb at Milk Studios with OPI’s lead nail artist Miss Pop and the OPI team of nail techs. They created a matte navy nail look with a strip of negative space that was bold and strong with a feminine touch.
1} First, apply OPI Natural Nail Base Coat.
2} Leave a sliver of negative space up the center of the nail using striping tape for cars or blue painting tape.
3} Apply two coats of OPI Nail Lacquer in Light My Sapphire. Allow a few minutes for the polish to set.
4} Smooth with OPI Top Coat. It’s important to add a regular top coat under the Matte Top Coat so it's more even with no bumps.
5} Finish with OPI Matte Top Coat, to add texture to the color and take the shine out.

I love my matte black! It's such a fun way to edge up my wardrobe. In fact, I only wear black in matte because shiny black feels too much. Love these tips.
Love this! It is such an interesting nail look, the matte black is so pretty.
love the matte polish maker. I once did a french mani where my nail was red gloss & the tip was matte red. so pretty!
Oh, I kind of like this!
That's so cool!
