{what's in my} ipsy april 2017 glam bag!

So obsessed with the ticket motif of the ipsy April Glam Bag. Cutest ipsy bag ever, amiright?!

This month I'm especially loving the Ciaté London BAMBOO BRONZER Longwear Bronzing Powder in PALM ISLAND {perfect for fair skin}; the Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in SWERVE; and the Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in HEAVY METAL #04 {this stuff is fire for summer}.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with ipsy, it is a beauty subscription service that costs $10 per month {awesome deal IMO}, and consists of a collectible makeup bag {can also double as a clutch} along with 5 beauty samples that are customized to your personal beauty profile {which you can change/update at anytime}. I love getting subscription boxes, but don't have a ton of extra cash to spare, so I find ipsy to be the best value as each month's bags are adorable, the products are of fantastic quality, and their stylists are top-notch {and some of my fave beauty bloggers}. That being said, let's get to the bag!

April's theme was SIDESHOW {think carnivals}. Inside my bag was a deluxe sample of Ciaté London BAMBOO BRONZER Longwear Bronzing Powder in PALM ISLAND, full size Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in HEAVY METAL #04 {retail $14.99!}, deluxe sample of The White Company Seychelles Hand & Nail Cream, full size Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in SWERVE {retail $5.00!}, and a full size ADESSE NEW YORK Cupuaçu Butter Lip Balm {retail $24.00!}.

Y'all know that I live {and I mean live} for a rust-meets-bronze eye {especially during the summer months}, so I instantly fell head over heels for this Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in HEAVY METAL #04. Babes, this is one swipe of this bad boy worn over no primer and it slaaaays! I actually tried this product before in a different shade a few months back, and I adore it just as much {if not more} this time around! My favorite aspect about this product is the level of versatility it features due to the fact that it is, essentially, a loose pigment. Thus far, I've worn it two ways: on my eyes {mixed with a clear lip gloss and applied directly to the lids for a wet-look metallic eye}; and on my lips {mixed with, again, a clear lip gloss to create a metallic mouth}. It has looked lush every. single. way I've used it - and has left me craving more colors!

Since I will forever be all about the eyes, let's move onto Colourpop's Creme Gel Liner in SWERVE. Ladies, I am a huge fan of ColourPop products, so I have forever wanted to try this baby out {not sure why I never did, but props to ipsy for sending it my way!}. Swerve is a true onyx black that looks so incredible on light eyes. The pros? This stuff lasts. all. day. I'm talking never fades, never transfers, never moves. Additionally, the tip is super precise, so you get flawless application every. single. time. The cons? It has a tendency to catch on the eye during use; and it's prone to breaking. Is it a dealbreaker? I'm on the fence.

Given the fact that I change my nail color so frequently, I've become a total hand cream snob, so I was apprehensive about The White Company Seychelles Hand & Nail Cream. First things first, this stuff smells amazing - we're talking island vacay amazing, with an incredible mix of coconut, amber, and vanilla. I actually love this one. The texture is thicker than your average lotion, so it never leaves a runny/greasy feel on your hands; just a light protective film that leaves your hands feeling silky soft and moisturized. I'm not really sure why this is labeled as a hand & nail cream, because I don't feel like it did anything for my cuticles; but I still love it!

This product isn't new to me, as Ciaté actually sent me a full-size of this bad boy a few months back; but since I've never chatted about it before, now seems like the perfect time to share Ciaté London BAMBOO BRONZER Longwear Bronzing Powder in PALM ISLAND with you! I am a pale, pale gal, so I literally look like the walking dead without a bit of bronzer, and this one right here has become a fast favorite of mine. Though Palm Island is noted as a medium/dark bronze, I find that it adds a great touch of color to fair complexions, without leaving behind that dreaded orange cast. Out of all of the bronzers I've tried, this one gives the most natural-looking kiss of color in a matte finish that builds up from light to dark, so you can customize the intensity. I highly, highly, highly recommend this one babes!

Ooh girls, this ADESSE NEW YORK Cupuaçu Butter Lip Balm is giving it to me! I am a lip balm fanatic, but this one may just take the cake for giving the best results! Never, ever have I had a lip balm that left my lips feeling this soft and hydrated. I swipe one coat on, and I am good to go for hours. Yes, it's insanely expensive IMO; but it is amazing enough to justify the price. I may just need to toss out all of my other lip balms and replace them solely with this baby!
