Wearing: Forever 21 Rib Knit Collar Bomber in Cream; Forever 21 Essential V-Neck Cami in Purple; 5-Mock Pocket Jeggings II in Dark Denim via Forever 21; Nine West Convinceme Boot in Medium Brown; Forever 21 Key to Love Double Ring.

Reading: Delicious Dating: The Single Girl’s Guide to Decoding Men By Their Wining and Dining Styles by Babe Scott. Can Babe please be my new BFF? Seriously, j’adore her! She is the foodie’s answer to Carrie Bradshaw – instead of comparing boys/relationships to designer duds, she compares them to dinner. Amour!

Glamourizing: Nails: Illamasqua Nail Varnish in DWS. Lips: Victoria’s Secret Beauty Rush Lip Gloss in Passion Fruit Pop. The very best part about this lippy? It tastes like a Cherry Otter Pop - mon préféré! Eyes: mark Mini Mark It Stick Hook Up Stick for Eyes in Cocoa Bean.

Listening: My Only Wish by Jessica Simpson.

Adoring: Impromptu excursions to San Diego’s Horton Plaza for shoe shopping at Nordstrom, ice skating at the Ice Rink at Horton Square, and Hot Chocolate at Starbucks. Non, I do not mind that I spend 97% of the time falling upon my Paige Denim-clad derriere – it is all part of le fun! Marc by Marc Jacobs’ Mouse Slippers with Sherpa Lining. Seeing as how Christmas Eve is a mere deux jours away, these seem incredibly approprie pour l'occasion, mais oui? After all, as the story goes…“Not a creature was stirring, not even a mouse…” Amour! Entire days spent decorating, baking, and wrapping gifts in my Circo Pink Cozy Pajama Set via Target. Oui, bought from the children’s section, but so incredibly cute, consenti? I believe that they were made specifically with Café Fashionista in mind – they are adorned with illustrated steaming mugs of hot cocoa!

Watching: ABC Family’s 25 Days of Christmas. Though I adore the common holiday fare such as Home Alone, A Charlie Brown Christmas, Eloise at Christmastime, The Santa Clause, Miracle on 34th St., and A Christmas Story; two of my absolute favorite features are Nestor the Long Eared Christmas Donkey and The First Christmas - both of which make me cry upon each viewing. Please, please, please if you have not yet seen them, do so tout de suite! They will give you a new appreciation for the holidays; and are so incredibly charming. J’adore!

Desiring: American Apparel’s Sparkle Pantyhose in Black/Silver and Black/Gold. The subtle shimmer creates quite the irrésistible illusion, if you ask me; prompting one’s many admirers to ask themselves, “Was there glitter on that girls gams?” Fabuleux, mais oui? I think so. Me les donner maintenant! Jessica Kerwin Jenkins’ Encyclopedia of the Exquisite: An Anecdotal History of Elegant Delights. After perusing a few pages via Barnes & Noble, I am convinced that my personal library is absolutely barren until this enchanting volume is added to it. For lack of better words, it reeks of Diana Vreeland and Marie Antoinette - J'ai besoin de tout de suite, s'il vous plait! Silky sleep and loungewear that whispers over one’s skin in a seductive yet oh-so coquettish fashion a la Club Monaco’s Lori Camisole, Marcella Shorts, Lori Bra, and Lori Knickers. Silk should be a staple in every glamorous girl’s lingerie drawer, oui?

Quoting: How I Met Your Mother’s Ted Mosby - “Shouldn’t we hold out for the person who doesn’t just tolerate our little quirks, but actually likes them?”

Awaiting: Jolly Old Saint Nick. I have already begun preparing his care package – a tradition I created back when I was seven. Carrots for the reindeer, cookies and milk for Santa himself, and a little box full of handmade ornaments for Mrs. Claus back at the North Pole. Given the fact that Santa has left me prezzies for years, it only seems fair to shower him (and his captivating cohorts) with a few, as well!

But enough about moi; let’s talk about…vous. Time to give me the lowdown on your life, lovers! What are you up to this week?

My loves, in the left corner we have FRYE’s fabulous Carmen Harness Tall – the very same ones seen donned by The Vampires Diaries’ Nina Dobrev; to the right take a gander at Forever 21’s Leatherette Biker Boots.

Though the Forever 21 pretties are constructed out of faux leather, as opposed to the true leather of the FRYE’s, and offer the wearer a slightly lower heel; for a mere $34.80, in comparison to the $358.00 of the originals, they are just as capable of adding a biker babe motif to your look du jour, at a price that allows you to pick up both colors – black and brown!

Though the heel of the majestic Mossimo’s is slightly lower (3.75 inches) than that of the wondrous Weitzman’s, and is constructed of textile materials as opposed to the haircalf upper of the originals; for a mere $29.99, in comparison to the $158.00 asking price of their haute couture counterparts, they are every bit as capable of adding a touch of high fashion ferocity to the fashionista’s shoe collection – on a frugalista budget!

Skinny Jean – Medium Vintage Wash via Target; Long Cuffable Scrunchable Socks in Natural via Sock Dreams; Steve Madden Maryn in Cognac; Forever 21 Antique Pendant Necklace; Rhinestone Arrow Connector Ring in Gold via Forever 21.

Reading: Kiki Strike: Inside the Shadow City by Kirsten Miller. It saddens me to admit that I have been harboring this book in my bedroom since its publication in 2006, and am only now getting the chance to read it. Regardless, I am positively hooked. I highly recommend it for the How to Take Advantage of Being A Girl list which can be found on pages 15-16 (of the hardcover version) alone. Incroyable! You will amour; marquer mes mots!

Glamourizing: Nails: Essie Blanc – hands down the most stunning winter white I have ever seen. Lips: mark Shine Tubes Hook Up Lip Gloss in Sugared Almond. Eyes: mark’s i-glimmer Illuminating Eye Color in Bronzed.

Listening: Lights by Ellie Goulding. There are no words to describe how obsessed I am with this song at the moment; it makes me think of twinkling fairy lights and glitter whenever I hear it! J'adore de l'infinité de temps!

Adoring: American Apparel’s Stretch Velvet Double U-Neck Long Sleeve Mini Dress – the epitome of true holiday style, mais oui? I find it incredibly irrésistible myself - amour! Mistletoe, mistletoe, and more mistletoe – specifically when it is in the possession of cute boys; sadly, it seems most often harbored by the undesirables. Très tragique, non? Nevertheless, j’adore it! Body-hugging turtleneck sweaters that transport the wearer back in time to 1960s Greenwich Village, New York and the world of beatnik poets and folkloric musicians a la BCBGMAXAZRIA’s Turtleneck in Black.

Watching: The Vampire Diaries: The Complete First Season. Non, it will never live up to the book series (which I simply cannot get enough of); but I find myself fairly smitten with Elena’s wardrobe. And really now, who could resist Stefan and Damon? You know you love them!

Desiring: Eugenia Kim’s Foxy Scarf – a rather childlike way of taking a walk on the wild side, consenti? A lifetime supply of Starbucks’ Caramel Brulee Latte. In all honesty, I would have no qualms with subsisting solely on this beverage for the remainder of my days. Why oh why must it be seasonal? Le sigh! Free People’s Lace Puff Sleeve Dress. I have yet to determine what I adore more – the ladylike lace construction, or the Lolita-esque aesthetic of the frock in its entirety. Is it just me or does it simply scream Blair Waldorf?

Quoting: Gossip Girl - “Sometimes, you need to step outside, get some air, and remind yourself of who you are and where you want to be.”

Awaiting: Divine Rights of Denim Grey Wash Skinny Jeans via Forever 21. I have been on quite the denim kick as of late; I believe that 50% of my wardrobe now consists of skinny jeans, and the other 50% is devoted to boots - there is very little room for anything else. L'amour, l'amour, l'amour!

Tightwad Tuesday: Tibi Sequin Blazer on a Budget

Lovers, back in November of 2009 I introduced you to Tibi’s tantalizing Sequin Blazer as part of a Café Fashionista Tightwad Tuesday post; but with the season of sparkle upon us, I felt that it was high time to revisit the spectacular piece – with an even more fabulous look-alike version for the frugalista!

In the left corner, take a peek at Tibi’s Sequin Blazer, sparkling in all of its haute couture glory; in the right corner, allow your pretty peepers to savor the twinkling decadence that is Shock Boutique’s Sequin Blazer in Black – a similar style of which has been seen gracing the form of everyone’s favorite stylist, one Ms. Rachel Zoe.

While the Shock Boutique beauty proffers a more feminine fit than the tempting Tibi; for a mere $54.00, in comparison to the $598.00 needed to take the Tibi home, it is the preemptive piece to add to your wardrobe if you’re looking to add a little shimmer to your style – at a price that no glamorous gal could possibly refuse!

25 Days of Prom Dresses

Darlings, obviously I am incapable of speaking for all of you; but I, for one, have always felt that December would be a far more appropriate time to hold prom, as opposed to the standard April or May dates. After all, in the words of crooner Andy Williams, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” The one time where you can feel the magic in the air, vibrating and sparkling and dancing around your person; when snowflakes and stars twinkle like angels, and each day is enveloped in a new sort of excitement that is yours for the taking.

But I digress; sadly, December has never before been the time for such an event. It is, however, the biggest shopping month of the year – in other words…a sublime moment to begin your search for perfect prom dresses and prom gowns.

Think about it, my loves; putting off such a purchase leaves you scavenging among the leftover racks weeks before the big day – all while juggling a full class load and social obligations. But December…

…December is a time when school is obsolete, and one can devote their full time and attention to weighing the benefits of a strapless neckline a la the Beaded Strapless Ball Gown with Full Tulle Skirt against a halter holdup like the Silky Knit Halter Gown with Beaded Brooch Detail; comparing and contrasting solid colors like the Chiffon Gown with Cascading Ruffle Detail, with fierce and fabuleux animal prints courtesy of the Charmeuse Animal Print Gown with Beading; and, most important, making the decision between a blissful ball gown like the Beaded Strapless Taffeta Pick Up Ball Gown, or a flirty frock a la the Short Strapless Tiered Tulle Dress.

As Wilhela Cushman once said, “Just around the corner in every woman's mind - is a lovely dress, a wonderful suit, or entire costume which will make an enchanting new creature of her.” Why not uncover such a glamorous garment during the season when the world is merry and bright, mais oui?

Why yes, Mr. Williams; I couldn’t agree more. It certainly is the most wonderful time of the year – for prom dress shopping, that is!

Thrifty Thursday: MICHAEL Michael Kors Stainless Steel Chronograph Watch for Less

Mes chers, to your left you will find MICHAEL Michael Kors’ stunning Stainless Steel Chronograph Watch; to the right take a peek at Shock Boutique’s glamorous Gold Boyfriend Watch.

While the show-stopping Shock Boutique piece lacks the true crystal stones of the classy Kors offering, instead proffering a ring of rhinestone detailing upon the face; for a mere $30.00, as opposed to the $250.00 required to take the real deal home, it allows the fabulous fashionista that is vous to show off a little high fashion bling – on a blissful budget!

Tell me, kittens…will you be a big spender and go for MICHAEL Michael Kors, or be thrifty and spring for Shock Boutique?

♥ Fashionably Moi! ♥

Wearing: Mossimo Supply Co. Sweater Jacket in Grass; Forever 21 Fab Basic Knit Top in Taupe; Mossimo Supply Co. Skinny Jean – Medium Wash; Sam Edelman Shalin Faux Fur Boots in Smokestack Gray; Forever 21 Key to Love Double Ring.

Reading: The Vampire Diaries: Dark Reunion by L.J. Smith. Le final book in the quartet. Such a bittersweet undertaking, if you ask me – I am both thrilled to see what happens next; yet I loathe the fact that the series is coming to an end.

Glamourizing: Nails: Essie Mink Muffs. Lips: mark Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss in Sweet Talk. Eyes: mark Make It Big Lash Plumping Mascara in Raven.

Listening: Santa Baby by Eartha Kitt. I have developed quite the…codependency on this song. I accomplish very little unless it is playing in the background. J’adore!

Adoring: Faux fur boot covers a la Steve Madden’s M24053 and M24050 - j’adore the idea of being able to change the entire aesthetic of any boot in my collection merely by slipping one over the shaft. Brilliant, non? Holiday drinks at Starbucks. The Caramel Brulee Latte; the Toffee Mocha; the Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate. Yes. Please. Lurrrrve! Platform Booties – specifically Dolce Vita’s Vanessa; Opening Ceremony’s Racer; Diane von Furstenberg’s Famke Shearling; and Sam Edelman’s Vancouver Lace Up. ‘Tis the season for sassy shoes, lovers!

Watching: Gossip Girl - Season 2. I think I should love to have Cyrus Rose as my stepfather a la Blair Waldorf. He is très fabuleux, non?

Desiring: American Apparel’s Cotton Spandex Jersey Double U-Neck Dress. Le minimalism is tres magnifique - I want one in every color! GUESS Obelize. There are no words to describe the amount of fear that wells up within me at the sight of that heel; but ohmigosh Je suis dans l'amour! Have you ever before seen such beauty? Elegance? Sophistication? And, above all else, ferocity? I think not! Le besoin, le besoin, avoir besoin de!! Dolce Vita Joelle Platform Booties in Olive. Why, oh why, are you no longer available in my size, my loves? I had such fabulously fashionable plans for the two of us! Le sigh. Quoi que sera, sera - I suppose.

Quoting: Scott Hamilton - “The only disability in life is a bad attitude.”

Awaiting: Toy Story 3’s Big Roarin’ Rex. Non, this is not a gift for moi; rather, it is for my two-year-old nephew whom fell in love with it at first roar. He will adore it – as he should; you would never believe what I went through to find this thing – it is literally sold out at every store!

But enough about moi; let’s talk about…vous. Time to give me the lowdown on your life, lovers! What are you up to this week?
