25 Days of Prom Dresses

Darlings, obviously I am incapable of speaking for all of you; but I, for one, have always felt that December would be a far more appropriate time to hold prom, as opposed to the standard April or May dates. After all, in the words of crooner Andy Williams, “It’s the most wonderful time of the year.” The one time where you can feel the magic in the air, vibrating and sparkling and dancing around your person; when snowflakes and stars twinkle like angels, and each day is enveloped in a new sort of excitement that is yours for the taking.

But I digress; sadly, December has never before been the time for such an event. It is, however, the biggest shopping month of the year – in other words…a sublime moment to begin your search for perfect prom dresses and prom gowns.

Think about it, my loves; putting off such a purchase leaves you scavenging among the leftover racks weeks before the big day – all while juggling a full class load and social obligations. But December…

…December is a time when school is obsolete, and one can devote their full time and attention to weighing the benefits of a strapless neckline a la the Beaded Strapless Ball Gown with Full Tulle Skirt against a halter holdup like the Silky Knit Halter Gown with Beaded Brooch Detail; comparing and contrasting solid colors like the Chiffon Gown with Cascading Ruffle Detail, with fierce and fabuleux animal prints courtesy of the Charmeuse Animal Print Gown with Beading; and, most important, making the decision between a blissful ball gown like the Beaded Strapless Taffeta Pick Up Ball Gown, or a flirty frock a la the Short Strapless Tiered Tulle Dress.

As Wilhela Cushman once said, “Just around the corner in every woman's mind - is a lovely dress, a wonderful suit, or entire costume which will make an enchanting new creature of her.” Why not uncover such a glamorous garment during the season when the world is merry and bright, mais oui?

Why yes, Mr. Williams; I couldn’t agree more. It certainly is the most wonderful time of the year – for prom dress shopping, that is!

Fashionably yours!

I love the idea of winter proms. It would be so atmospheric, swirling in sparkles and snowflakes. And think of the fashion possibilities ... fur mufflers and wraps, glitter scarves ... long fashion gloves ... the list goes on.

My high school actually had a Christmas Ball every year! It was a formal dance in December! It certainly was my favorite formal dance I attended throughout my four years! The dress on this post is gorgeous!

Prom and wedding dresses are my favorite. I never got to go to my prom, or get a wedding for that matter. I definitely need to work on that.

I like your style and the design. It is very gorgeous. It really fits your body. Is this your own design or you contacted a designer? One of the best thing to consider when buying prom dress is to make sure you will look gorgeous. That it fall right on your curves as well and make you look flattering and even more seductive. Long prom dresses should be carefully selected for quality and fit, making sure you have your exact, recent measurements on hand when buying/ordering.

Girl, I'm with you. My junior year, I put off finding a dress and ended up scouring boutiques the day before the dance! It's genius to start thinking about it now.

Believe me..don't wait the day before to fix that old wedding dress up..thinking a gold ribbon is going to hold you up in that thing..because it won't. I've tried. Yes, get busy now to get the situation taken care of.

I actually used to go and get all my formals after the holiday season. You know how stores have deep discounts, and tons of sales during January, and February? I would get amazing dresses for around $20. I would buy 2 or 3, and be set until the next year! You can even use those dresses for a wedding dress, or your bridesmaid's dresses to save cash too.

Gorgeous dress! I really wish I was back at school, or we had proms here in England. Finding the perfect dress must be so much fun.

I adore dresses, and this makes me want to go to prom again. Too bad I'm 26, lol. Maybe wedding dress in the future?!
