NOTD: Ciaté Paint Pot in Raspberry Collins
Raspberry Collins is not a shade that I would normally associate with a summer collection because it leans more berry than bubblegum; but somehow it works here given the pinky undertones.
The formula was slightly strange on this one. Not difficult to work with; but you have to apply it very quickly or else it has a tendency to drag. Other than that, the consistency, like the color, is gorgeous!

2. surf-inspired Despite the fact that I have lived in Southern California for more than 10 years, I am, sadly, not a surfer. I am, however, swimsuit obsessed; and I'm currently crushing on surf-inspired swimwear because it's undoubtedly cool - not to mention super sexy...in an athletic way. My top picks are Clover Canyon's Marble Party Bikini Top in Multi + Marble Party Bikini Bottoms in Multi {the exposed front zip is so Bond Girl}; Nanette Lepore's Sinaloa Stripe Rash Guard in Multi + Sinaloa Stripe Bikini Bottoms in Multi {the print is TDF. coincidence: it matches the Model Citizen packaging}; and SKYE & staghorn's The Rashie Top in Foil / Black + Siren Triangle Bikini in Palm {digging the club vibe of the long mesh sleeves}!
3. beachy waves Blake Lively made me obsessed with beachy waves during her Gossip Girl days; and my love for the style has most definitely not dissipated since the show went off the air. I adore the carefree, I'm-really-a-mermaid vibe they add to your look. And while I'll rock the beachy wave anytime of year; there's something about summertime that makes the style downright necessary. Three of my fave products for nailing the look? 4. bright bracelets Friendship bracelets were kind of my life when I was younger. I made hundreds every summer, and stacked countless on my wrists each day - they were my preteen style statement. Now I favor HiPANEMA's - specifically the Fluo Multi Bracelet in Blue Multi, and Sunset Bracelet in Silver Multi. They're like a grown-up, grand scale friendship bracelet with the ability to make you nostalgic for summer camp arts & crafts. Also pertinent...they make a fierce pairing with cutoff denim or bikinis on the beach!
5. mirrored sunnies Truth: Mirrored sunnies are to summer what s'mores are to bonfires...crucial. I love a pair with a colored frame and a bright orange / red / pink / yellow gradient lens; thus, my at-the-moment loves are Beach Riot's The Superior Sunglasses in Barbie, and Ray-Ban's Erika Velvet Sunglasses in Red. So fun, right?

NOTD: Sugar Nail Frosting Glitter Nail Polish in I Want S'More
Ever since I put this color on I've been craving s'mores and a camping trip - despite the fact that I'm more of a glamper {it's a thing}. Yes, it is that influential.
I Want S'More could work as a top coat; but the taupe base is rich enough to become opaque with minimal coats, so I wore it alone - and I love. Though the glitter is a mix of black and silver {not white, as you might have expected}, the silver pieces appear white in certain lighting creating a true s'mores effect. So unique!
Formula. Is. Fab. I adore the consistency of this polish, as it is so easy to work with {if you're a nail painting novice you need this in your life} - it's hearty yet smooth; so you get a flawless mani in minutes.

NOTD: Ciaté Paint Pot in Starlet
Starlet reminds me exactly of the peacock eyes Pat McGrath created for the Roberto Cavalli Fall / Winter 2012 runway. Thus, even though shimmers aren't usually my thing, I'm seriously digging this duochrome.
The color shift from purple to green is subtle yet so striking - definitely intense in an understated way. The formula was fantastic - brushstrokes are invisible, and the coverage is great. Highly recommended if you're looking for something unique.
Note: Please excuse the bubbles / bumps. They in no way reflect the quality of the polish; and were actually caused by my top coat - which is, apparently, ready for retirement.

it's perf! {Shop Suey Boutique Handbag Review}
Though satchels were once the only handbag aesthetic I would carry; for the past few years, I have been rotating three Rebecca Minkoff Mini Nikki Hobo Bags {all in a different color, mind you} through my wardrobe. That's right, my handbag shape has not changed once in three years. I'll let you digest that info for a moment...
Anyway... given that fact, I was very excited to try something new - especially something as unique as Andie.
Andie may be a satchel; but she's a one-handled satchel {it's very Fendi Peekaboo}. There's also a little Louboutin action going on in terms of inspiration. You see those perfect perforated bits on the front and sides {p.s. the perforation on the front is diamond-shaped; the perforation on the sides is circular}? The inner edges of the perforation is trimmed in red a la the classic Louboutin soles; which, surprisingly looks amazing with the overall color of the bag - a hue I would describe as blush meets nude meets dulce de leche {definitely not your typical pink; but gorgeous nonetheless - and the perfect match for the rose gold hardware}.
