Why Don't You...?

…string up a hammock in your backyard; slip into L*Space’s Slinky Solids Plunge One Piece; slide Carrera’s Champion Sunglasses over your pretty peepers, and swing into oblivion?

…take the arm of a cute boy, and spend the afternoon trolling the boardwalk with dripping ice cream cones in hand? As Jonathan Carroll once said, “You have to walk carefully in the beginning of love; the running across fields into your lover’s arms can only come later when you’re sure they won’t laugh if you trip.”

…channel Marie Antoinette in Rachel Pally’s draping Long Fortuna Dress, find a quiet spot in a spacious park, and host a picnic for one with chocolate, chocolate, and more chocolate on the menu?

…devote an entire day to flowers? Gallivant through gardens filled with daisies; admire butterflies and bees as they flit daintily from roses to violets; and, at the very end of the afternoon, craft a wreath out of foliage and perch it atop your head goddess-style!

…cancel whatever plans you may have and instead spend the day playing dress-up? Swipe the Kenneth Jay Lane Amber Beetle Ring you’ve been eyeing from your sister’s jewelry box; button yourself into your mother’s new Patterson J. Kincaid Jillian Fitted Blouse; stuff your feet into the Open Toe Platform Sling Back Pumps by Giuseppe Zanotti Shoes that your cousin has been raving about. Just remember to put everything back in its proper place; your day of dress-up will be our little secret.

Fashionably yours!

Love all your ideas, Erika! Especially the dress up sounds intriguing... Sometimes I wonder if we blogerresses have never gotten out of the dress-up stage.

Since it's in the upper 80s here today, I'll opt for the boardwalk stroll with an ice cream cone ... Perfection :)

I'd love to swing in that hammock and then run in a field of flowers with flowers in my hair. Oh my goodness. You make me swoon.

What I wouldn't give to just lounge around on a hammock all day - and wearing those fabulous shades no less! I'm in need of a "hooky day"...wanna join me?? ;o)

I used to make wreathes out of dandylions(?) and wear them on my head when I was little. I know they are weeds, but when I was little they were cool!

I love that one-piece! I think I am going to have to get one soon :)

I would love to have a hammock, if only I didn’t live in a townhouse ;) I would also love to have a pair of those Carrera sunnies and that gorgeous Rachel Pally gown.

I love your ideas for strolling the boardwalk and spending a day in a field filled with flowers and butterflies.

The Kenneth Jay Lane ring is gorgeous and so fitting for summer.

I'm still laughing at that Jonathan Caroll quote... so true. It takes time to be able to really put your hair down and behave normally with a boy. But when you reach that stage, it'll be fun.

I love the hammock idea... it'll be great to have a frozen Margarita on hand.

Happy Wednesday Erika! xoxo

Cool stuff! The Long Fortuna dress is veeerry lovely! But it's kinda expensive for a 13 year old girl! You can might do it in Tightwad Tuesday or Thrifty Thursday!
BTW, thanks for leaving a comment on my blog, I really appreciate it :D

I love flowers. I wish there was a cure for allergies. I've quit taking allergy meds for various reasons and now it's so hard to be around a lot of flowers and grass. So sad. :(
