Tightwad Tuesday: Christian Louboutin Banana Platform Pumps for Pennies

Darlings, in the left corner we have Christian Louboutin’s bombastic Banana Platform Pumps – the exact pair seen upon the tantalizing tootsies of Anna Hathaway, Emmy Rossum, Bar Rafaeli, Keke Palmer, Jennifer Lopez, and Zoe Saldana; to the right cast your pretty peepers upon Vince Camuto’s Milesy2 in Blush Patent.

Though it’s obvious that the charming Camuto’s lack the red velvet cupcake soles of the blissful Banana’s; for just $94.05, in comparison to the $795.00 needed to make their haute couture counterpart your very own, they are a preemptive way of snagging a bit of star style at a price that won’t break the bank!

Are you having a tightwad moment darlings, or are you plagued with a craving to splurge?

Fashionably yours!

I LOVE nude pumps... so versatile. Maybe I'll have to get a new pair for spring ;)

I would always choose the less expensive shoe, I usually get my flats or heels at payless! But in the wedding world, brides are obsessed with their Christian Louboutins! <3 Hope you have a great day Erika!

I'd definitely opt for the less expensive one, but I'm not sure I'd be able to walk in those heels!

I like the Louboutin's but for the price I prefer the Camuto's, still very beautiful and much more affordable!

Nothing compares to a real Louboutin, but Vince Camuto is a great alternative!! Wish it had red soles though.

Louboutins ALL THE WAY.

Unfortunately, I have to with the cheaper ones because the Christian Louboutin ones are wayyy out of my budget! But, I love the red soles of Christian Louboutin shoes! So, it is hard to turn down one of his shoes :)

Well, who doesn't want a pair of Laouboutins ... really who? but for the price difference I can give up the red soles and be very happy with the Vince Camuto.
Love the color.

Ok if I had infinite amounts of money, I would have a closet full of Loubi's, however seeing as I don't, the Vince Camuto's are a pretty great back up plan!!

Louboutin makes gorgeous shoes in lustable styles but I have to say Vince hit it with this one! The only difference I can see is the color of the sole!
You are so good at this Erika! Find me the Louboutin Gingham peeptoe being copied for on the thrifty Thursday! I want that shoe so bad!!

Oh these are gorgeous! Nude pumps are essential in every working girl's closet. While I am un peu obsessed with Louboutins, I would take their just as chic less expensive counterpoint in a heartbeat!

I'd be happy to go with the Camutos at that price. I'll get some Louboutin's some day, but I think I'd like the all-black pump when I do!

I wish I could afford the Louboutin's! But the less expensive ones are also quite grand. I also like that the cheaper ones don't have a seam.

Nude pumps are on my spring wish list. They go with practically everything, although it would be lovely to walk around with "red velvet cupcake soles" I think I will go with the Vince Camuto pumps. My landlord will thank me for being able to make the rent that month.
