NAILS INC. Acai Bowl Nail Polish Collection Swatches + Review
Summer is all about fresh, fun, flirty colors, so when I spotted the Acai Bowl Nail Polish Collection from nails inc. at Sephora, I didn't hesitate in clicking Add to Cart, because it encompassed all of the above. Inspired by the ever-trendy {and yummy!} acai bowls that have legit taken over Instagram, this quartet is bursting with sizzling shades that will bring a vacay to your fingertips. Even better? Each has a brilliant, easy to work with formula, and an awesome brush that makes painting a breeze!
Oxford Terrace is a Red Creme. Y'all know that red is so not my thing when it comes to nail colors, but I'm actually digging this one. Oxford Terrace has a brighter undertone than your typical classic red, making it read more summer apropos than fall. It has a fiery feel that would instantly make a splash on the beach; while sticking true to its berry-inspired roots. This is probably the easiest red I have ever worked with - applying beautifully from swipe one due to the creamy formula, and wide, flat brush that evenly coats every nail with minimal effort. This is 2 coats.
Eaton Row is a Cool Lilac Creme. Colors like this always make me giddy for spring - they just feel so fresh, clean, and new. That said, in comparison to some of the other brights in this quartet {which I am apparently loving atm}, Eaton Row wasn't as favored by me as expected. Yes, it's a beautiful color; but it's one of those lilacs that leans dusty instead of bright, so it wasn't as popping as I'd hoped. Nevertheless, the formula was fab, and super easy to work with. This is 2 coats.
St. James Street is a Warm Nude Creme. Ladies if mannequin hands aren't your thing, but you're craving a nude nail, this is one beauty you need to check out! St. James Place leans peachy, so it feels less boring/harsh than your typical nude, while still giving that super clean, polished look. My one ish with this bad boy? There was a bit of shedding from the brush which was a royal pain, but not a dealbreaker. This is 2 coats.
Hurlingham Gardens is a Rich Berry Creme. Ooh ladies I think I've found my favorite shade from this four-piece! Hurlingham Gardens is, IMO, the mostacai-inspired shade given its rich berry color which is insanely fresh and beautiful to look at! Like the rest of the collection, Hurlingham Gardens had a brilliant formula that fell just shy of OCW territory. You'll absolutely adore this one if you're a fan of the fuchsia family. This is 2 coats.
