For those of you who are unfamiliar with ipsy, it is a beauty subscription service that costs $10 per month {awesome deal IMO}, and consists of a collectible makeup bag {can also double as a clutch} along with 5 beauty samples that are customized to your personal beauty profile {which you can change/update at anytime}. I love getting subscription boxes, but don't have a ton of extra cash to spare, so I find ipsy to be the best value as each month's bags are adorable, the products are of fantastic quality, and their stylists are top-notch {and some of my fave beauty bloggers}. That being said, let's get to the bag!
May's theme was SUMMER FRIDAY {think friyay feels}. Inside my bag was a deluxe sample of Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter in SIN, full size Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense Eyeshadow Duo in ELECTRIC {retail $22.95!}, deluxe sample of Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in NO. 1 BLACK NOIR, deluxe sample of Hey Honey Besame Mucho Lip Balm, and a Luxie Beauty Luxie Dreamcatcher Precision Foundation Brush 660 {retail $23.00!}.
Ladies a rust-meets-bronze-meets-gold shadow is like kryptonite to me, so you know I had all the heart eyes when I unbagged this Jelly Pong Pong Supercharged Super Intense Eyeshadow Duo in ELECTRIC. This little duo right here is everything! I'm not gonna lie, the packaging is a little cheap + flimsy feeling; but the product itself is just lush! Not only is it highly pigmented {this is one swipe!}, but it blends beautifully and can be used wet or dry. Obsessed!
Y'all know that cat eyes are basically my beauty signature, so I'll never refuse an eyeliner. Though I typically reach for a liquid liner, the positive reviews for this Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen in NO. 1 BLACK NOIR were enough to pique my interest, and I have to admit...I really liked the results. While this isn't my fave for creating wings; I do love it for tightlining the upper lashes. The formula is incredibly smooth and creamy, so it glides on easily with no tugging or pulling. Bonus: this bad boy is waterproof, so it's perfect for beach / pool days.
Luxie Beauty makes some of my all-time favorite makeup brushes, so finding this Luxie Beauty
Luxie Dreamcatcher Precision Foundation Brush 660 in my bag was such. a. treat. I don't wear foundation myself, so this baby is being used solely for powder highlight application, and it is amazing. The tapered bristles are super soft, and pick up the perfect amount of product. Keep the Luxie Beauty goodies coming ipsy!
Can we just take a moment to swoon over this Urban Decay Afterglow 8-Hour Powder Highlighter in SIN? I mean, seriously. Sin is a super finely milled champagne-hued highlight that gives a gorgeous, natural glow to skin. I, personally, prefer a highlight with more of a gold cast to it, so I don't think this will get a lot of mileage on my cheekbones; but I love it for highlighting the inner corners of my eyes, and browbone {also works great as an eyeshadow}. If you like a highlight that can be worn subtle or striking {this one builds-up so beautifully!} you'll def adore this one!
Lip balms come and go, but this Hey Honey Besame Mucho Lip Balm is one that will be in my life for a v long time. Why? It basically works as a lip mask, re-hydrating your pout with each coat you apply. I love to slather on loads right before bed, and let it work its magic overnight - and it so does! I consistently wake up to incredibly soft, smooth, kiss-me lips, and who doesn't love that?!

That's cool the lip balm acts like a lip mask. Sorry for the lack of nail polish, but it sounds like some good items - and I like this month's bag. :)
WOW!
