Liquid + powder highlights are a HUGE staple in my daily #motd, but a gel highlighter? Totally new to me! So when Influenster sent me a complimentary bottle of this bad boy in exchange for an honest review, obvs I was excited to try it out.
As with all of the Marc Beauty products I've played with, this Marc Jacobs Beauty Dew Drops Coconut Gel Highlighter in 50 DEW YOU? doesn't disappoint! Aside from the coconut fragrance, which brings on ALL of the vacation vibes; this actually leaves the most radiant glow on skin, and can be used in multiple ways.
When I want a soft, all-over coconut glow, I mix it in with my sunscreen, and apply it all over my face. When I want a popping, in-your-face glow, I use a stipple brush to apply it to the apples of my cheeks, along my cheekbones, and on my browbone. A little goes SUCH a long way, and really gives you the most gorgeous glow for the warmer months. Get it babes!

carrie bradshaw vibes {oNecklace review}
The Carrie Name Necklace was seen on Ms. Bradshaw during her Sex and the City stint; whereas the Initial Necklace was seen on teenage Carrie on the short lived {tear} The Carrie Diaries.
I've been obsessed with both aesthetics since seeing them on the shows, so had to scoop up my own! These are the 24K Gold Plated Initial Necklace and the 24K Gold Plated Carrie Name Necklace - so in love with them!

NOTD: China Glaze Nail Lacquer in Crushin' On Blue
Ermagersh ladies how pretty is this one?! Crushin' On Blue is the thing summer dreams are made of - it has that crystal clear waters feel to it that makes it ideal for vacay, without being your basic bright pink or orange.
The formula here is thin and patchy; however, it's a breeze to work with, leaving an ultra-shiny finish and brilliant color in its wake! BTW: this baby doesn't stain. Huzzah! This is 3 coats.

2. denim minis True story: I have 0 dresses in my closet, and the only skirts I own are a trio of denim minis; so I am super excited to see that they're back in style for 2017 - but now I kind of want to stock up on more! The styles currently on my radar? AGOLDE's Quinn High Rise Miniskirt in DEVOTEE {loooove the color!}, and Current/Elliott's The Mini Cutoff Skirt in REESE {raw hemlines are my fave!}. Are you excited that denim minis are back in action?
3. extreme hoops I don't know about you, but the higher the temps rise, the bigger my hoops get - and no, I am so not kidding. With that sentiment in mind, you know I'm feeling seriously extreme hoops rn! My supercalifragifaves at the moment? These Large Hoop Earrings in GOLD from BP. {the price is oh so right for a trendy item}, and Lana Jewelry's Large Flat Magic Hoop Earrings in YELLOW GOLD {so insanely chic, amiright?!}. Are you an extreme hoops fan?
4. city sandals I've been wearing wedges like crazy as of late {just ask my co-workers}; but over the past few weeks I've had my eye on city sandals - those super adorbs lace-ups with a wear-for-hours-with-no-pain heel that look with all of the things. I've contemplated so many different styles, but the pair that has completely caught my eye is Sole Society's SERA Fringe Strap Heeled Sandal in VISTA BLUE, PAPRIKA. The fringe detailing is so fun for summer; and I'm seriously digging the color selection!

NOTD: OPI Nail Lacquer in Two-Timing the Zones
As a girl who doesn't typically go for pink polishes, I am so feeling this one because it feels. like. summer. Seriously though...how can you look at this shade and not think of beach excursions and tropical vacays?!
This bad boy has killer staying power. Yes, it required a few coats to reach opacity, but I cooked, filed, texted...and it didn't so much as chip for six days. #Winning!

{what's in my} ipsy april 2017 glam bag!
This month I'm especially loving the Ciaté London BAMBOO BRONZER Longwear Bronzing Powder in PALM ISLAND {perfect for fair skin}; the Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in SWERVE; and the Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in HEAVY METAL #04 {this stuff is fire for summer}.
For those of you who are unfamiliar with ipsy, it is a beauty subscription service that costs $10 per month {awesome deal IMO}, and consists of a collectible makeup bag {can also double as a clutch} along with 5 beauty samples that are customized to your personal beauty profile {which you can change/update at anytime}. I love getting subscription boxes, but don't have a ton of extra cash to spare, so I find ipsy to be the best value as each month's bags are adorable, the products are of fantastic quality, and their stylists are top-notch {and some of my fave beauty bloggers}. That being said, let's get to the bag!
April's theme was SIDESHOW {think carnivals}. Inside my bag was a deluxe sample of Ciaté London BAMBOO BRONZER Longwear Bronzing Powder in PALM ISLAND, full size Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in HEAVY METAL #04 {retail $14.99!}, deluxe sample of The White Company Seychelles Hand & Nail Cream, full size Colourpop Creme Gel Liner in SWERVE {retail $5.00!}, and a full size ADESSE NEW YORK Cupuaçu Butter Lip Balm {retail $24.00!}.
Y'all know that I live {and I mean live} for a rust-meets-bronze eye {especially during the summer months}, so I instantly fell head over heels for this Naked Cosmetics Mica Pigment in HEAVY METAL #04. Babes, this is one swipe of this bad boy worn over no primer and it slaaaays! I actually tried this product before in a different shade a few months back, and I adore it just as much {if not more} this time around! My favorite aspect about this product is the level of versatility it features due to the fact that it is, essentially, a loose pigment. Thus far, I've worn it two ways: on my eyes {mixed with a clear lip gloss and applied directly to the lids for a wet-look metallic eye}; and on my lips {mixed with, again, a clear lip gloss to create a metallic mouth}. It has looked lush every. single. way I've used it - and has left me craving more colors!
Since I will forever be all about the eyes, let's move onto Colourpop's Creme Gel Liner in SWERVE. Ladies, I am a huge fan of ColourPop products, so I have forever wanted to try this baby out {not sure why I never did, but props to ipsy for sending it my way!}. Swerve is a true onyx black that looks so incredible on light eyes. The pros? This stuff lasts. all. day. I'm talking never fades, never transfers, never moves. Additionally, the tip is super precise, so you get flawless application every. single. time. The cons? It has a tendency to catch on the eye during use; and it's prone to breaking. Is it a dealbreaker? I'm on the fence.
Given the fact that I change my nail color so frequently, I've become a total hand cream snob, so I was apprehensive about The White Company Seychelles Hand & Nail Cream. First things first, this stuff smells amazing - we're talking island vacay amazing, with an incredible mix of coconut, amber, and vanilla. I actually love this one. The texture is thicker than your average lotion, so it never leaves a runny/greasy feel on your hands; just a light protective film that leaves your hands feeling silky soft and moisturized. I'm not really sure why this is labeled as a hand & nail cream, because I don't feel like it did anything for my cuticles; but I still love it!
This product isn't new to me, as Ciaté actually sent me a full-size of this bad boy a few months back; but since I've never chatted about it before, now seems like the perfect time to share Ciaté London BAMBOO BRONZER Longwear Bronzing Powder in PALM ISLAND with you! I am a pale, pale gal, so I literally look like the walking dead without a bit of bronzer, and this one right here has become a fast favorite of mine. Though Palm Island is noted as a medium/dark bronze, I find that it adds a great touch of color to fair complexions, without leaving behind that dreaded orange cast. Out of all of the bronzers I've tried, this one gives the most natural-looking kiss of color in a matte finish that builds up from light to dark, so you can customize the intensity. I highly, highly, highly recommend this one babes!
Ooh girls, this ADESSE NEW YORK Cupuaçu Butter Lip Balm is giving it to me! I am a lip balm fanatic, but this one may just take the cake for giving the best results! Never, ever have I had a lip balm that left my lips feeling this soft and hydrated. I swipe one coat on, and I am good to go for hours. Yes, it's insanely expensive IMO; but it is amazing enough to justify the price. I may just need to toss out all of my other lip balms and replace them solely with this baby!

NOTD: LAW Beauty Essentials Nail Polish in Leave A Text
I have received a lot of nail polish from ipsy in the...2 years {???} that I've been subscribing, but I think that Leave A Text may be my all. time. fave.
Ladies, this color is just exquisite - a rich, concrete grey creme that stands out in the sea of gray polishes available due to its formula, and depth.
This one is perfect in terms of application - it applies seamlessly and evenly with a brush reminiscent of the one seen in the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure bottles; plus it has built-in shine that makes it stand out on your tips. Loves it!

{beauty board} lived-in liner
1} Marc Jacobs Beauty Highliner Gel Eye Crayon Eyeliner in BLACQUER 42 {$25.00} A crayon liner is your BFF for this beauty look. This particular one is my favorite because it gives you 15 seconds to smudge it up before it sets. Plus, it comes in about a bajillion colors!
2} MAKE UP FOR EVER 212 Medium Precision Smudger Brush {$25.00} For a truly I-slept-in-my-makeup look, you're going to want to use a smudge brush and your fingers. Fingers help you blend; a smudge brush helps you to clean-up/smooth edges.
3} Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara in BLACKEST BLACK {$8.99} Volume is always a good idea - whether it be for hair {micro loop hair extensions} or lashes. This bad boy right here is one of the best mascaras on the market for big, beautiful, voluminous lashes - and you can't beat that drugstore price!
4} Laura Mercier Lip Parfait Creamy Colourbalm in AMARETTO SWIRL {$26.00} To balance your smoldering eyes you want a subtle, nude lip - this one moisturizes like a balm but gives intense color payoff that will flatter a multitude of skintones.
5} Hourglass Illume Sheer Color Trio {$62.00} Since you're heavy on the eyes for this look, you want to go light on the rest of your face. This palette is bomb for that purpose - leaving you with a radiant, ultra-natural finish!

NOTD: OPI Infinite Shine 2 Icons Nail Lacquer in Funny Bunny
When I reached for Funny Bunny, I had my hopes set for a rich, white creme; what I wound up getting was a soft, sheer white creme - but you know what? I still love it.
Funny Bunny is one of those shades reminiscent of a French mani {which feels every bit as necessary for spring as fusion hair extensions}, with a slightly higher amount of opacity. Though it is a thin / sheer formula, it's rich - building up quickly and beautifully with no runny-ness. If you're a fan of white nails but don't always like how stark white polish can be, this is the one for you!
