Thrifty Thursday: Burberry Platform Peep Toe Bootie on a Budget

Mes chers, to your left you will find yourself gazing fondly upon Burberry’s magnificent Platform Peep Toe Bootie - the very same ones seen not only on the runways as part of the S/S 2009 Collection, but on the pretty paws of Emma Roberts, Ashley Tisdale, and Saoirse Ronan, as well; to your right you will spot Bumper’s bombastic Delle-04 Strappy Peep Toe Bootie.

Though the Bumper's are constructed out of a mix of lycra and leatherette materials, as opposed to the true leather construction of the Burberry's; for a mere $27.90, as opposed to the $850.00 needed to take the fabulous Burberry’s for a spin, they are every bit as capable of adding a dash of haute couture to your person – at a price that doesn’t break the bank!

Tell me, kittens…will you be a big spender and go for Burberry, or be thrifty and spring for Bumper?

Fashionably yours!

those burberries are enchanting :) like a Cinderella boot. !

I'm not big on peep-toe, so I think I'll pocket the money and save it for a boot, maybe in a suede :)

i actually like the shape of the bumper ones better, so i'd definitely be thrifty!

Rachel said...

Wow! They're sooo similar! And they both look great!

Maddy said...

Not sure if I would opt for this pair at all, unless I'm going for the porn ballerina look :o/ But if anything, Bumper look a bit more classy. That platform on the Burberry seems a bit over the top!

tierdear said...

ahhh! too cute! not only would those shoes make your legs look miles long, but if you wore some dove gray tights, you'd be the fiercest ballerina wannabe ever.

I think the Burberry's look better. Has anyone tried Bumper shoes? How do they fit? These are my questions. I haven't seen many reviews on that brand so I wonder....
Good job on finding a cheaper copy. Unfortunately, this one's appearance says "cheap" to me. Oh well - I am saving for Vegas anyway!!

These shoes are gorgeous! I'll go for the Bumper...you had me at 'lycra'...hahaha! Actually I do prefer them just because they're a bit shinier.

It's like a toe shoe!!!!

I really like the Bumper version because of the shiny fabric. But, both of them remind me of ballet shoes with heels. Don't mind me, I just saw Black Swan.

These are like ballet shoes on steroids- and that is an awesome thing! I love them. The color alone makes me swoon!

These are lovey! I love the pale pink colour of them. I definitely prefer the Bumper ones though.

Seems like you could also get a strappy sandal and wear it with a glittery gold sock. That's still in right? :)

Haeley P said...

Hmm... I'd choose Burberry, although I'm not too crazy for the weird socks-and-sandals look the fabric gives them.

Midnight Cowgirl said...

Amazing! I would take either pair!
