Sydney J. Harris
Lazy Sunday mornings celebrated with chocolate-drizzled croissants, and piping hot cappuccinos; sick days spent burrowing under the covers with a good book, and the occasional bowl of hearty soup; last-minute brunch plans with your BFF to dish on relationship troubles or triumphs over morning Mimosas. Each of the aforementioned events is something that requires an ensemble that is equal parts comfortable and charming; a look that will keep us cozy for hours on end whilst ensuring that we look perfectly presentable should an ultra-adorbs acquaintance spring up out of nowhere. And one need not look further than my new favorite kiss of luxury…Skin.
Sporting the motto “Addressing the body,” the Skin collection, created by Susan Beischel (my new favorite person in the world BTW), is “…a line that cocoons women in the world’s most glorious garments. The perfect weights and shapes. The clothing you live in, to elevate the everyday.”
Featuring simplistic, yet utterly stylish aesthetics, in a variety of soft shades (the entire Spring 2012 Collection is inspired by beach pebbles), the Skin line ranges from Micro Fleece Wraps and Pleated Boyshort Panties to Ribbed Tunics and Tunic Dresses, all crafted out of super-soft materials such as pima cotton.
I was lucky enough to receive the Ribbed Tunic in Shadow (a charcoal/olive gray) at the start of a personal bout with the flu (of which I am still attempting to recover from), and I scarcely took it off – whether I was pairing it with leggings and boots for quick trips to the store, or simply wearing it around the house with American Apparel over-the-knee socks. The 100% pima cotton was the softest I have ever felt, and resulted in supreme comfort whenever I had it on, earning two (neon pink) thumbs up from this fashionista!
What piece from the collection will you choose to serve as your stylish second Skin?
Fashionably yours!
Thanks to Skin for the pictures.

The brand seems amazing. Can't wait to check out their website.
It does look very comfortable, and I love that it's 100% cotton. it's like that's so rare to find these days.
oooo sounds like Skin is right up my alley! you are right that all of those events should require comfortable clothes that will allow us to breathe easy in case someone nice brings us soup :) sounds like the product is WONDERFUL!
